HEAT-SHRINKABLE POLYESTER-BASED FILM ROLL
The present invention aims to provide a heat-shrinkable polyester film roll having decreased generation of wrinkles or longitudinal shrink mark. The present invention provides a film roll of a heat shrinkable polyester film, wherein a polyester of the polyester film contains recycled raw material from a PET bottle and an acid component of the polyester comprises isophthalic acid, and the film roll satisfies a specific average value of a shrinkage, specific isophthalic acid ratio, and specific thickness unevenness.
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION, METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME, AND MOLDED ARTICLE INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition, a method of preparing the same, and a molded article including the same, including a thermoplastic resin composition including 100 parts by weight of a base resin including 20 to 90% by weight of a non-recycled thermoplastic resin (A) and 10 to 80% by weight of a recycled thermoplastic resin (B); 1 to 10 parts by weight of an ethylene compound-vinyl acetate compound copolymer (C); and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of an inorganic pigment (D), wherein the inorganic pigment (D) has a refractive index of 1.65 or more and an average particle diameter of 10 to 500 nm.
POLYMER RECYCLATE PROCESSES AND PRODUCTS
Methods for processing LLDPE recyclates including, but not limited to, polyethylene and polypropylene and compositions therefrom are provided. LLDPE recyclate can be visbroken to improve processing characteristics and/or devolatilized to remove waste byproducts to produce processed LLDPE recyclates. Processed LLDPE recyclates are compounded with pre-consumer polyolefins to produce blend compositions having acceptable or even improved processing characteristics. Such pre-consumer polyolefins can also be visbroken to further tailor processing characteristics of such polymer blends. A combination of extruders and/or extruder zones can be used at the same or different locations for visbreaking and/or compounding of both LLDPE recyclate and/or pre-consumer polyolefins.
BLENDS OF VIRGIN HDPE AND POST CONSUMER RECYCLATE HDPE AND METHODS THEREOF
Compounded virgin and post-consumer recyclate HDPE compositions with improved processability and mechanical properties, including processes of making, products and application in food packaging are described herein.
Cotton recycling
Cellulose materials and methods of making the cellulose materials are described herein. The method can include contacting a cotton fabric with an oxidizing system to obtain an oxidized cotton material and processing the oxidized cotton material to form the cellulose material. The oxidizing system can include an aqueous mixture of a N-oxyl compound and a hypochlorite compound. During oxidation, the pH of the aqueous mixture can be maintained at from 8.5 to 11. Cellulose products can be formed from the cellulose materials. For example, the cellulose products can be used to form a packaging material, a biomedical device or implant, a drug delivery material, a fiber, a textile material, a template for electronic components, or a separation membrane. Methods of making the cellulose product include dissolving or suspending an active ingredient in a medium comprising the cellulose material.
MOLDED ARTICLES COMPRISING A POST-CONSUMER RECYCLE POLYCARBONATE AND METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A polycarbonate composition includes particular amounts of a virgin polycarbonate and a purified recycled polycarbonate. The polycarbonate composition can exhibit improved color. The polycarbonate composition can be useful for forming molded articles. A method of purifying a post-consumer or post-industrial recycle polycarbonate composition is also disclosed.
POLYESTER RESIN BLEND, POLYESTER FILM AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a polyester resin blend, a polyester film and a preparation method of the same. The polyester resin blend is capable of providing a heat shrinkable label that is transparent and has excellent shrinkage even if it contains recycled polyethylene terephthalate as well as virgin polyethylene terephthalate. In addition, the heat shrinkable label can be reused while attached to a PET container, etc., and is expected to be useful for providing continuously usable plastics that have been recently attracting attention.
POLYESTER COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a composition comprising A) a polyester, B) a polyolefin and C) a compatibilizer, wherein C) is a functionalized polyolefin containing hydroxyl functional groups or a reaction product of the functionalized polyolefin and a polyester, wherein the total amount of A) and B) with respect to the total composition is at least 77 wt % and the amount of C) with respect to the total composition is 0.1 to 23 wt %.
IMPROVED PERFORMANCE AND PROCESSING OF POLYVINYL BUTYRAL (PVB)/ACRYLIC COMPOSITES
A composition and a method for preparing a polymer composite article. The composition comprises (A) a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) polymer in an amount of from 10 to 90 wt. %. The composition also comprises (B) a filler in an amount of from 10 to 90 wt. %. Further, the composition comprises (C) an acrylic polymer additive in an amount of from greater than 0 to 10 wt. %, the acrylic polymer additive selected from acrylic copolymers having a weight average molecular weight of at least 4,000,000 Da and a core-shell acrylic additive having a crosslinked core and a shell comprising an acrylic homopolymer or copolymer. The ranges for components (A)-(C) are based on the total weight of components (A), (B) and (C) in the composition.
DISSOLVABLE RUBBER
A degradable elastomeric material that is formed from a composite blend of elastomeric particles in a continuous degradable binder. The degradable binder is generally a water-soluble binder which has a temperature dependent solubility in water and brine systems. Such degradable elastomers are particularly useful in the fabrication of degradable oil tools, among other applications.
