The present invention aims at providing a novel indocyanine compound solving problems of conventionally used indocyanine green, such as solubility in water or physiological saline, a synthesis method and a purification method thereof, and a diagnostic composition including the novel indocyanine compound. Further, provided are a method for evaluating biokinetics of the novel indocyanine compound and a device for measuring biokinetics, and a method and a device for visualizing circulation of fluid such as blood in a living body, which utilize the diagnostic composition. Also, found are a novel indocyanine compound in which a hydrophobic moiety in a near-infrared fluorescent indocyanine molecule is included in a cavity of a cyclic sugar chain cyclodextrin to cover the hydrophobic moiety in the indocyanine molecule with the glucose, and a synthesis method and a purification method thereof. Furthermore, found are a method for fluorescence-imaging an organ other than liver by intravenous administration, a method for evaluating biokinetics of the novel indocyanine compound, a device for measuring biokinetics, and a method and a device for visualizing circulation of fluid such as blood in a living body, utilizing the diagnostic composition including the novel indocyanine compound.

Near-infrared fluorescent dyes and uses thereof
The invention relates to a near-infrared fluorescent dye and use thereof, and particularly relates to compounds represented by following Formulae A, B and C, wherein each group in the Formulae is described in the specification. Further provided are a dye composition comprising the compound represented by Formula A or Formula B, and a preparation method of the compound represented by Formula A or Formula B. The compound has a maximum absorption wavelength of 880 nm, considerably exceeding maximum absorption wavelengths of the majority of small-molecule near-infrared fluorescent dyes in the prior art. Moreover, the structure thereof does not aggregate even if the concentration thereof is excessively high, thereby having considerably high chemical stability and light stability. ##STR00001##

The present invention discloses a method for laser welding of plastics, comprising the steps of providing a first plastic material to be welded comprising a compound capable of absorbing near-infrared light, positioning a second plastic material in intimate contact with the first plastic material, and activating a laser source emitting a wave length in the near-infrared spectrum to obtain attachments of the first and the second plastic material. The compound capable of absorbing near-infrared light is a dye derived from croconic acid.

Provided are a thermal fusion-type lithographic printing plate precursor in which the visibility is excellent, ablation during laser exposure is suppressed, and the contamination of dampening water and printing ink during on-machine development is suppressed by a lithographic printing plate precursor having a support and an image-recording layer, in which the image-recording layer is capable of forming an image by infrared laser exposure, a non-exposed portion of the image-recording layer is removable by at least one of dampening water and printing ink on a printer, and the image-recording layer contains (1) a color developing system in which a hue change generated by infrared laser exposure is a/b0.6 and (2) 70% by mass or more of a thermoplastic polymer particle with respect to a solid content of the image-recording layer and a plate-making method in which the thermal fusion-type lithographic printing plate precursor is used.
