Cosmetic and Dermatological Compositions
Cosmetic and dermatological compositions, including color changing compositions, are provided which typically include a plurality of synthetic particles having a size in the micrometer or nanometer range. Each synthetic particle typically includes one or more aggregates of a pigment selected from phenoxazone, phenoxazine, and a derivate or precursor thereof, and a stabilizing material which has a refractive index larger than 1.45; the aggregates having a size larger than about 100 nm and the composition being biodegradable and biocompatible.
Method for manufacturing resin thin film stripped pieces
A method for producing flakes of a resin thin film including: a step (1) of forming a resin thin film on a substrate film to obtain a multilayer film; a step (2) of pressing the multilayer film by a member having a concavo-convex shape to form cracks in the resin thin film; and a step (3) of stripping the resin thin film from the substrate film to obtain flakes. The step (2) is preferably performed with a pressing pressure of 100 MPa or less. The resin thin film is preferably formed of a cured product of a photocurable liquid crystal composition. The resin thin film is preferably a cholesteric resin layer.
Thermochromic pigment composition
A thermochromic pigment composition comprising: (A) at least one electron-donor organic dye compound, (B) at least one electron-acceptor compound, and (C) at least one compound. The thermochromic pigment composition is microencapsulated and is useable in writing instruments.
Solar light antibactertal agent
A composite nanomaterial of ZnO impregnated by, e.g., a green copper phthalocyanine compound (CuPc) can be an efficient solar light photocatalyst for water remediation. The composite may include hollow shell microspheres and hollow nanospheres of CuPc-ZnO. CuPc may function as a templating and/or structure modifying agent, e.g., for forming hollow microspheres and/or nanospheres of ZnO particles. The composite can photocatalyze the degradation of organic pollutants such as crystal violet (CV) and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid as well as microbes in water under solar light irradiation. The ZnO—CuPc composite can be stable and recyclable under solar irradiation.
A STABLE FOOD-GRADE MICROCAPSULE FOR THE DELIVERY OF UNSTABLE AND FOOD-INCOMPATIBLE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS TO FOOD PRODUCTS
Stable food-grade microcapsule designed to deliver a composition comprising at least one active substance to a food product; use of such microcapsules in the food industry; food products, food supplements, food articles and raw materials comprising such microcapsules are provided.
Thermochromic pigment compositions
A thermochromic pigment composition including: (A) at least one electron-donor organic dye compound, (B) at least one electron-acceptor compound, and (C) at least one compound corresponding to the following formula (I): in which: X is 0 or a single bond, Z is COO or OCO, R.sub.1 is O-alkyl or (CH.sub.2).sub.mCH.sub.3—R.sub.2 is OCO(CH.sub.2).sub.nCH.sub.3 or H, —y=0-3, —m=12-18; —p=8-18, and on the condition that, when X is 0, y is other than 0. The thermochromic pigment composition are also useable in thermochromic pigment microcapsules ink compositions including the thermochromic pigment microcapsules, and writing instruments including the ink compositions.

METHOD FOR PREPARING BIODEGRADABLE MICROCAPSULES AND MICROCAPSULES OBTAINED IN THIS MANNER
Method for manufacturing microcapsules enclosing a substance referred to as the active substance, in which method: there are provided an aqueous solution of a surfactant, an oily phase comprising the active substance and at least a first monomer X, and a polar phase having at least a second monomer Y; an O/W emulsion is prepared by adding the oily phase to the aqueous solution of the surfactant; the polar phase is added to the O/W emulsion in order to obtain a polymer by polymerisation of the X and Y monomers; starting from this reaction mixture, the microcapsules are isolated and comprise a wall which is formed by the polymer and which encloses the active substance; the polymer is a poly(beta-amino ester).
Colored speckles for use in granular detergents
This invention relates to non-bleeding, non-staining colored speckles for use in granular or powdered detergents such as laundry detergents and automatic dishwashing detergents. The colored speckles are comprised of a salt or salt-containing carrier and a coloring agent and are characterized as being substantially uniformly colored throughout the cross-sectional volume of the speckle.
BREAKABLE GALENIC CAPSULE
The present invention falls within the general field of cosmetics, and in particular, it relates to a breakable capsule (1) with a membrane (2) and core (3) suitable for releasing an active ingredient comprised in the membrane (2), both for cosmetic use and for pharmaceutical use and to the preparation processes thereof. The capsule (1) has good chemical and mechanical stability wherein the capsule, once applied to the skin, reduces or does not generate residues and, at the same time, any residual trace produced by the membrane (2) can be absorbed or adsorbed by the skin. In addition, they have good stability against light and breakage.
