Method for manufacturing a watertight zipper
A method for manufacturing a watertight zipper includes forming a waterproof tape by extruding a polymeric material in a melted state wrapping around a cloth tape, cutting a side of the waterproof tape that is covered by the thick waterproof layer to form a side surface of the thick waterproof layer as an abutting surface, forming a plurality of apertures in the waterproof tape that extends through the cloth tape and the thick waterproof layer, and forming a plurality of scoops spaced from the thin waterproof layer and corresponding to the apertures. The waterproof tape includes a thick waterproof layer and a thin waterproof layer both formed by the polymeric material. The thick waterproof layer covers an upper surface, a lower surface and an edge of the cloth tape. The thin waterproof layer connects with the thick waterproof layer. An end of each scoop extends beyond the abutting surface.
COVER ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE AND COVER ATTACHMENT METHOD FOR COVER ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE
A cover attachment structure includes a sheet-shaped cover member, a base, and a fastener member. The fastener member includes a first element row and a second element row. The base has a recessed groove extending along a surface thereof. Fastener elements of the first element row and the second element row are received in the recessed groove and locked in the recessed groove in a state in which engaging head portions of the fastener elements engage with each other. The recessed groove is configured such that a minimum groove width thereof in a width direction orthogonal to a length direction of the recessed groove is less than 2 times a length, in the width direction, of either one of the fastener elements received in the recessed groove.

ZIPPER SYSTEM INCORPORATING A SOUND PRODUCING SYSTEM
A zipper system includes a zipper mechanism having interlocking teeth, the teeth, when interlocked, closing a signal circuit to an audio playback circuit, the audio playback circuit. The audio playback circuit includes a microprocessor. The microprocessor includes an audio track storage and control instructions that, when executed by the microprocessor, cause playback of an audio track from the audio track storage. The audio playback circuit further includes a speaker device coupled to the microprocessor that broadcasts the audio track.
SLIDE FASTENER
A slide fastener has a pair of stringer tapes and coupling members each fastened to the stringer tapes in a row. The rows of coupling members lie opposite one another and connect the two stringer tapes to one another in an interlocking manner. Each stringer tape is formed from two stringer tape portions, the coupling members each rest against a first stringer tape portion, and a second stringer tape portion is arranged on the side of the first stringer tape portion facing away from the coupling members. The first stringer tape portion and second stringer tape portion of stringer tapes are bent and connected to each other at a stringer tape region. A slider is designed such that a movement of the slider in a first direction connects the coupling members of the stringer tapes in an interlocking manner and releases them in an opposite direction.
SLIDE FASTENER ELEMENTS, FASTENER STRINGERS, AND FASTENER CHAIN
A fastener element for a slide fastener includes: a coupling portion; and one single root portion either including, or being plastically bendable to include, a bent portion and a distal end portion which extends from the bent portion towards a side of the coupling portion which is closer to the fastener tape. Each face of the coupling portion includes an engaging protrusion protruding in a lengthwise direction, and an engaging recess recessed in a lengthwise direction with respect to the face, and is configured for receiving an engaging protrusion of a fastener element on the opposite stringer in a closed condition of the slide fastener.

Double-layered watertight zipper
A double-layered watertight zipper improves the watertight effect of the conventional zipper. The watertight zipper includes first and second stringer tapes. Each stringer tape includes a tape, a first leakproof layer, a plurality of scoops and a second leakproof layer. The first leakproof layer and the tape construct a waterproof tape. The first leakproof layer includes an inner face forming a first abutting face. The scoops are arranged on the waterproof tape. The second leakproof layer is arranged on the scoops and connected to the first leakproof layer. The second leakproof layer includes an inner face forming a second abutting face. When the scoops of the first and second stringer tapes are engaged with each other, the first abutting faces of the first and second stringer tapes abut with each other, and the second abutting faces of the first and second stringer tapes abut with each other.

Zipper shield
A jam proof zipper device is as described having a shield component coupled to the slider which clears a zipper slider channel entry profile such that all but the tape teeth elements enter or exit the slider channels by steering any encroaching cloth, tape or material away from entering the Y-shaped channel entrance.
