The invention relates to a material web drawing-in apparatus for drawing in a material web. The material web drawing-in apparatus comprises at least one material web holding device for holding the material web to be drawn in, and at least one guide for guiding the at least one material web holding device from a material web drawing-in point to a material web transfer point, and also at least one drawing-in drive which is in connection with the at least one material web holding device and which serves for displacing the at least one material web holding device along the at least one guide upon drawing in the material web to be drawn in in the direction of the material web transfer point.

The present invention provides solvent-based compostable cold seal release lacquers for use in packaging structures. The lacquers of the invention comprise resins, such as polyamide resins, comprising greater than 90% biobased carbon, generally prepared from renewable sources, e.g., plants such as rice. The present invention also provides the use of the inventive compostable lacquers as cold seal release lacquers in cold seal packaging, along with eco-friendly packaging film, etc., and has the potential to make the cold seal packaging fully compostable.

A multi-use adhesive tape including a first backing layer, a first adhesive layer on at least part of a surface of the first backing layer, a second backing layer and a second adhesive layer on at least part of a surface of the second backing layer. The second adhesive layer is releasably engaged with the first backing layer and the tape is configured so that the tape can be applied to an article using the first adhesive layer and, after removal from the article, the first backing layer can be removed so that the second backing layer can be applied to the article using the second adhesive layer.

The present disclosure relates to a multilayer protective film that may include a multilayer component and a release liner component underlying the multilayer component. The multilayer component may have a first PET layer overlying a second PET layer. The multilayer protective film may further have a thickness ratio MPF.sub.T:RL.sub.T of not greater than about 14:1, where MPF.sub.T is equal to the thickness of the multilayer component and RL.sub.T is equal to the thickness of the release liner component.

An aqueous composition that can be used to provide release properties to adhesive tape substrates can be applied at coating weights far less than those required in previously available compositions containing the same or similar release polymers. Inclusion of small amounts of a superwetter results in improved coatability and reduced amounts of sound generated during the process of releasing an adhesive tape from its roll.

A release liner which makes it difficult for an adhesive layer to impair slidability and makes it easy to exhibit an adhesive force suitably, a method of producing a release liner, an adhesive sheet, and a method of producing an adhesive sheet. A release liner has a surface provided with a ridge portion extending linearly, and on the surface, a plurality of recesses having different depths are randomly formed in a surface direction and are continuously connected.

A light path control member according to an embodiment comprises: a first substrate including an effective area and an ineffective area; a first electrode disposed on the first substrate; a second substrate disposed on the first substrate and including an effective area and an ineffective area; a second electrode disposed under the second substrate; and a light conversion unit disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The light conversion unit includes an alternating arrangement of partition wall parts and reception parts. A first hole passing through the first substrate is formed in at least one of the effective area or the ineffective area of the first substrate. A second hole passing through the first substrate is formed in at least one of the effective area or the ineffective area of the second substrate. A first connection electrode is disposed in the first hole, and a second connection electrode is disposed in the second hole.

Compositions comprising complexes of 1-methylcyclopropene and α-cyclodextrin, and articles including the composition, are provided. Methods for using the compositions and articles in delaying the maturation of fruits, vegetables, and plants are also provided.
