Stick-type hot-melt adhesive body for hot-melt glue guns
A stick-type hot-melt adhesive body for use in hot-melt glue guns, the hot-melt adhesive body having at least one first section containing at least one reactive adhesive and at least one second section containing at least one cleaning agent (purging agent), the first section and/or the reactive hot-melt adhesive and the second section and/or the cleaning agent differing optically and/or visually from one another, in particular being of different colors.
Compositions and articles comprising complexes of 1-methylcycloproprene and alpha-cyclodextrin
Compositions comprising complexes of 1-methylcyclopropene and -cyclodextrin, and articles including the composition, are provided. Methods for using the compositions and articles in delaying the maturation of fruits, vegetables, and plants are also provided.
DIMENSIONALLY STABLE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION CONTAINING ENZYMATICALLY MODIFIED STARCH
The present invention relates to a dimensionally stable adhesive composition comprising enzymatically modified starch, and to the use of the adhesive composition as a glue stick.
Oxazoline-based adhesive formulations
Adhesive formulations and methods for making adhesive formulations are provided. An adhesive formulation includes at least one oxazoline polymer and casein. Methods of making adhesive formulations include combining at least one oxazoline polymer and casein to form the adhesive formulation. Glue sticks made using these adhesive formulations and methods are also provided.
Method of Texturing and Article of Manufacture
A method for texturing and applying a decorative finish to an article or other surface comprising application of a texture of hot melt adhesive to an article such that the texture mimics melted candle wax drippings that have adhered to the outer surface of a candle as the melted wax was running down the candle and dried during its path downward. At least one coating of paint is applied to the article and at least one coating of urethane is applied to said article.
STICK-TYPE HOT-MELT ADHESIVE BODY FOR HOT-MELT GLUE GUNS
The present invention relates to a stick-type hot-melt adhesive body for use in hot-melt glue guns, the hot-melt adhesive body having at least one first section containing at least one reactive adhesive or consisting thereof and at least one second section containing at least one cleaning agent (purging agent) or consisting thereof, the first section and/or the reactive hot-melt adhesive on the one hand and the second section and/or the cleaning agent on the one hand differing optically and/or visually from one another, in particular being of different colors.
Compositions and articles comprising complexes of 1-methylcyclopropene and ?-cyclodextrin
Compositions comprising complexes of 1-methylcyclopropene and ?-cyclodextrin, and articles including the composition, are provided. Methods for using the compositions and articles in delaying the maturation of fruits, vegetables, and plants are also provided.
Method and device for balancing a wheel by application of a hot-melt adhesive balancing mass
Balancing weights for a rim of a vehicle wheel are made from a balancing weight material, which comprises a hot melt adhesive based on Polyolefins or Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers filled with a volume ratio between 35% and 75% of a high-density mass material like steel particles. This balancing weight material is heated such that it becomes a ductile and adhesive material, which can adhere to the rim and applied to the rim. After cooling off a solid and fixedly attached balancing weight has been made.
Interlocking glue stick
An interlocking glue stick is a hot-melt glue stick with non-planar features on each end of the glue stick. The non-planar features allow a second glue stick to be coupled to the end of a first glue stick before the first glue stick has been pulled into the hot-melt glue gun. Interlocking glue sticks allow the operator of a hot-melt glue gun to place two or more glue sticks into a position where they can be pulled through a hot-melt glue gun in advance of the need to reload the hot-melt glue gun. This allows the operator to use both hands for purposes of operating the hot-melt glue gun and holding materials in alignment. At least one embodiment of the interlock glue stick allows the non-planar features at each end of the glue stick to be created with a single cut of a cutting tool.
