SILOXANE-BASED GEL ADHESIVES AND ARTICLES
Siloxane-based gel adhesives with improved shear holding power are prepared from curable compositions. The curable compositions include a siloxane fluid with a viscosity of at least 1,000,000 centiPoise, a siloxane-(meth)acrylate co-polymer, and siloxane tackifying resin. The curable compositions can contain an initiator or can be cured by e-beam radiation without an initiator. The siloxane-(meth)acrylate copolymer is the reaction product of a reaction mixture of an ethylenically unsaturated siloxane-containing macromer, an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer; optionally a reinforcing monomer, and an initiator.

Adhesive for bonding polyimide resins
One embodiment relates to an, article and a method for producing an article including a plurality of substrates, and an adhesive bonded between at least two of the plurality of substrates. The adhesive can include a polycarbonate copolymer that includes reacted resorcinol, siloxane, and bisphenol-A. Another embodiment relates to an article having a first polyimide substrate, a second polyimide substrate, and an adhesive bonded between the first substrate and the second substrate. The article can have a 2 minute integrated heat release rate of less than or equal to 65 kilowatt-minutes per square meter (kW−min/m.sup.2) and a peak heat release rate of less than 65 kilowatts per square meter (kW/m.sup.2) as measured using the method of FAR F25.4, in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation FAR 25.853(d).
Adhesive for bonding polyimide resins

ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A SILSESQUIOXANE POLYMER CROSSLINKER, ARTICLES AND METHODS
Pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are described comprising at least one low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and at least one silsesquioxane polymer crosslinker comprising a plurality of ethylenically unsaturated groups. The low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer typically has a Tg no greater than 10° C. In some embodiments, the composition comprises at least 50, 55, 60, 65, or 70 wt-% of low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer is typically an alkyl (meth)acrylate comprising 4 to 20 carbon atoms. In another embodiment, an adhesive composition is described comprising a syrup. The syrup comprising i) a free-radically polymerizable solvent monomer; ii) a solute (meth)acrylic polymer comprising polymerized units derived from one or more alkyl (meth)acrylate monomers, and iii) at least one silsesquioxane polymer crosslinker comprising a plurality of ethylenically unsaturated groups. The free-radically polymerizable solvent monomer, polymerized units of the solute (meth)acrylic polymer, or a combination thereof comprise a low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer. Also described are pressure sensitive adhesive articles and method of preparing adhesive articles.
SILICONE-POLYESTER COPOLYMER, SEALANTS COMPRISING SAME, AND RELATED METHODS
A silicone-polyester copolymer has the formula X.sub.g[Z.sub.jY.sub.o].sub.c, where each X is an independently selected silicone moiety having a particular structure, each Y is an independently selected polyester moiety, each Z is an independently selected siloxane moiety, subscript c is from 1 to 150, subscript g is >1, 0≤j<2, and 0<o<2, with the proviso that j+o=2 in each moiety indicated by subscript c. Methods of preparing the silicone-polyester copolymer are also disclosed. Further, a sealant is disclosed, the sealant comprising the silicone-polyester copolymer and a condensation-reaction catalyst.

Methods of preparing the silicone-polyester copolymer are also disclosed. Further, a sealant is disclosed, the sealant comprising the silicone-polyester copolymer and a condensation-reaction catalyst.
