A modified ethylene polymer having high fuel barrier property and excellent adhesion and mechanical strength, and also uses thereof are provided. The modified ethylene polymer, in which at least part of the ethylene polymer is graft-modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, has a graft modification of 0.15% by weight to 0.40% by weight, and has an elution amount at 80° C. or lower as determined by cross-fractionation chromatography that is not more than 10% by weight.

The invention relates an adhesive tape, particularly wrapping tape for wrapping cables in automobiles, comprising a textile carrier, and an adhesive coating on at least one face of the carrier, characterized in that the textile carrier is produced, at least to some extent, from bio-based polymers.
