CURE OF ANAEROBIC COMPOSITIONS
20180320027 · 2018-11-08 ·

A bonding system for bonding a plastic substrate to another substrate, the bonding system comprising a plastic substrate wherein the plastic substrate is impregnated with a transition metal; and an anaerobically curable composition. Cure of the anaerobically curable composition is initiatable by the transition metal when the anaerobically curable composition is contacted with the plastic substrate under anaerobic conditions.

Pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, and double-coated pressure-sensitive adhesive tape

A polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, and double-coated pressure-sensitive adhesive tape each having high durability (high heating humidification storage stability) and good adhesive properties are provided using a polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. The polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the invention includes a polyester, a hydrolysis-resistant agent, a tackifier with an acid value of 8 or less and a softening point of 80 to 170 C., and a crosslinking agent, and contains 20 to 100 parts by weight of the tackifier based on 100 parts by weight of the polyester.

Flexible protective film, curved display, and terminal

A flexible protective film is provided and is used to protect a curved display. The flexible protective film includes a substrate layer (10) and a flexible layer (20) laminated on the substrate layer (10). The flexible layer (20) is formed after a liquid-phase flexible material is laminated on a surface of the substrate layer (10) through solidification. The flexible layer (20) of the flexible protective film is directly formed on the substrate layer (10) to reduce internal stress of the flexible protective film, thereby increasing an adhesive force of the flexible protective film.

A thermal bonding sheet includes a layer, in which an average area of a pore portion in a cross section of the layer after being heated at a heating rate of 1.5 C./sec from 80 C. to 300 C. under pressure of 10 MPa, and then held at 300 C. for 2.5 minutes is in a range of 0.005 m.sup.2 to 0.5 m.sup.2.

METHOD FOR WELDING A POLYOLEFIN PLASTIC AND AN ADDITIONAL PLASTIC

The invention relates to a method for welding a polyolefin plastic and a plastic consisting of a polymer with at least one aromatic unit in the polymer main chain, using a primer which contains at least one polymer built from at least one monomer with at least one double bond. The invention also relates to correspondingly welded products.

FLAME RETARDANT PRESSURE-SENSITIVE TAPE
20180072922 · 2018-03-15 ·

Pressure-sensitive adhesive formulations based on acrylic or rubber adhesives are provided in combination with an aluminum phosphorous salt intumescent flame retardant and a nitrogen containing flame retardant which can act as a blowing agent through thermal decomposition. These flame retardant additives can be incorporated into the adhesive in levels of 10 to 30 percent by weight. These formulations are then placed on a polymeric flame retardant substrate in either a single-sided or double-sided form.

ADHESIVE COMPOSITION FOR VACUUM THERMOFORMING AND DECORATION SHEET FOR VACUUM THERMOFORMING USING THE SAME
20180051195 · 2018-02-22 ·

The present invention provides a vacuum thermoforming adhesive composition containing a polyurethane polymer and an acrylic polymer and having a difference in melting temperature and cross-linking temperature of 30-60 C. In addition, provided is a vacuum thermoforming decoration sheet comprising: an adhesive layer, a substrate layer formed on the adhesive layer; a printing layer formed on the substrate layer, and a transparent substrate layer formed on the printing layer, wherein the adhesive layer is formed from the defroster vacuum thermoforming adhesive composition.

METHOD FOR ENCAPSULATING GLAZING IN POLYCARBONATE PROVIDED WITH AN ANTI-SCRATCH COATING
20180015503 · 2018-01-18 · ·

The present invention relates to a process for encapsulating a polycarbonate glazing comprising, on at least one of its faces, a silicone-based abrasion-resistant hardcoat, said process comprising the following successive steps: (a) the treatment of a region of the face of the glazing bearing the silicone-based hardcoat by atmospheric plasma with a plasma nozzle, the distance between the end of the plasma nozzle and the surface of the glazing being at most equal to 7 mm, (b) the application, to said region treated by atmospheric plasma, of a primer composition comprising one or more adhesion promoters selected from diisocyanates, polyisocyanates and chlorinated polyolefins, in solution or suspension in an organic or aqueous solvent, (c) the evaporation of the solvent so as to form a dry primer layer, and (d) the overmolding of a thermoplastic polymer over the region covered by the dry primer layer.

Flexible Hardgoods With Enhanced Peel Removability
20240407575 · 2024-12-12 ·

The present disclosure provides adhesive mounting articles that can be removed from surfaces without damage by having reduced contribution of a hardgood to the peel force generated by the adhesive article during removal. In some instances, this can be accomplished by a hardgood that is flexible in a peel direction and rigid in a weight hanging direction. Such hardgoods may include a plurality of minimally connected body segments arranged about the transverse axis of the hardgood body.

ADHESIVE ARTICLE WITH RECYCLABLE OR COMPOSTABLE RELEASE LINER

An adhesive article attachable to a substrate may include an adhesive layer attachable to a major surface of a substrate and a releasable liner in contact with the adhesive layer. The releasable liner has a release layer and a biodegradable polymer layer applied to the release layer. The release layer defines a structured surface in contact with the adhesive layer.
