COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING FLUOROOLEFINS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to fluoroolefin compositions. The fluoroolefin compositions of the present invention are useful as refrigerants or heat transfer fluids and in processes for producing cooling or heat. Additionally, the fluoroolefin compositions of the present invention may be used to replace currently used refrigerant or heat transfer fluid compositions that have higher global warming potential.
HEAT TRANSFER COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Disclosed are methods of retrofitting heat transfer systems containing or designed to containing HFC-134a as the refrigerant comprising: removing at least a portion of said HFC-134a from said system; and introducing into said system a refrigerant comprising at least about 97.5% by weight of the following four components, with each compound being present in the following relative percentages:
(a) from 2% to about 7% by weight of difluoromethane (HFC-32);
(b) from 2% to about 7 by weight of pentafluoroethane (HFC-125);
(c) from about 35% to about 50% by weight of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a); and
(d) from about 50% to about 55% by weight of trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234ze(E)).
REFRIGERANT-CONTAINING COMPOSITION, AND REFRIGERATING METHOD, REFRIGERATING DEVICE OPERATING METHOD, AND REFRIGERATING DEVICE USING SAID COMPOSITION
The present disclosure is to provide a composition comprising a refrigerant that has the characteristics of having a sufficiently low GWP, and having a coefficient of performance (COP) and a refrigerating capacity equivalent to or higher than those of R404A. The present disclosure provides a composition comprising a refrigerant, the refrigerant comprising trans-1,2-difluoroethylene (HFO-1132(E)), 1,1,2-trifluoroethylene (HFO-1123), and 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf), wherein the total concentration of the three components is 99.5 mass % or more, based on the entire refrigerant, and the three components have a mass ratio that falls within a region surrounded by a figure passing through the following 5 points in a ternary composition diagram whose three vertices represent the three components:
point A (HFO-1132(E)/HFO-1123/HFO-1234yf=42.5/1.0/56.5 mass %),
point B (HFO-1132(E)/HFO-1123/HFO-1234yf=27.1/1.0/71.9 mass %),
point C (HFO-1132(E)/HFO-1123/HFO-1234yf=1.0/30.4/68.6 mass %),
point D (HFO-1132(E)/HFO-1123/HFO-1234yf=1.0/57.0/42.0 mass %), and
point E (HFO-1132(E)/HFO-1123/HFO-1234yf=42.5/24.1/33.4 mass %).
REFRIGERANT-CONTAINING COMPOSITION, AND REFRIGERATING METHOD, REFRIGERATING DEVICE OPERATING METHOD, AND REFRIGERATING DEVICE USING SAID COMPOSITION
The present disclosure provides a composition comprising a refrigerant characterized by having a coefficient of performance (COP) and a refrigerating capacity (Capacity) equivalent to or higher than those of R134a, and having a sufficiently low GWP. The present disclosure is, specifically, a composition comprising a refrigerant, the refrigerant comprising cis-1,2-difluoroethylene (HFO-1132(Z)) and 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf), wherein HFO-1132(Z) is present in an amount of 53.0 to 59.5 mass %, and HFO-1234yf is present in an amount of 47.0 to 40.5 mass %, based on the total mass of IFO-1132(Z) and HFO-1234yf.
AZEOTROPIC OR AZEOTROPE-LIKE COMPOSITION CONTAINING TRIFLUOROETHYLENE
Provided are a novel azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition, and a separation method using the composition. An object is to provide a novel azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition, and a separation method using the composition. A solution to achieve the object is to provide an azeotropic or azeotrope-like composition containing trifluoroethylene and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of 1,1-difluoroethylene, fluoroethylene, and trifluoromethane.
Working fluid for heat cycle, composition for heat cycle system, and heat cycle system
A working fluid for heat cycle, a composition for a heat cycle system containing the working fluid, and a heat cycle system employing the composition are provided. The working fluid contains trifluoroethylene, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, and difluoromethane. A proportion of the total amount of trifluoroethylene, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, and difluoromethane based on the entire amount of the working fluid is higher than 90 mass % and at most 100 mass %. Based on the total amount of trifluoroethylene, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, and difluoromethane, the proportion of trifluoroethylene is at least 10 mass % and less than 70 mass %, the proportion of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene is at most 50 mass %, and the proportion of difluoromethane is higher than 30 mass % and at most 75 mass %. The working fluid can replace R410A and has a low global warming potential and high durability.
Lower GWP refrigerant compositions
Refrigerant compositions for an HVACR system that includes R1123, R32 and at least one more refrigerant. The refrigerant composition has a reduced GWP of about or less than 1500. Some of the refrigerant composition may be suitable for replacing R410A, R32, and/or R22. Methods for making the refrigerant composition including mixing an amount of R1123, and amount of R32, and an amount of at least one more refrigerant. Methods of retrofitting an existing refrigerant composition include adding an amount of at least one refrigerant to an existing refrigerant composition to produce a retrofitted refrigerant composition. The retrofitted refrigerant composition includes at least R1123 and R32.
AZEOTROPE-LIKE COMPOSITIONS OF 1,1,1,2-TETRAFLUOROPROPENE AND 1,1,1,2-TETRAFLUOROETHANE
Provided are azeotrope-like compositions consisting essentially of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropene and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane and uses thereof, including use in refrigerant compositions, refrigeration systems, blowing agent compositions, and aerosol propellants.
