Solid fuel product
A solid fuel product can include a carbon based solid fuel, a cementitious material, and a plastic material. The carbon based solid fuel can include coal, petroleum coke, wood and/or other carbon products. The cementitious material can include Portland cement, lime, calcium aluminate cement, natural cement, slag cement, blended cement, cement kiln dust, lime kiln dust, and/or fly ash. The plastic material can include a thermoplastic material and/or a thermoset material. The solid fuel product can include about 45% by weight to about 98% by weight of the carbon based solid fuel and about 1% by weight to about 50% by weight of the plastic material.
Wilderness Survival Device
A fire starter device and method for producing the same capable of igniting a fire sustaining fuel source in adverse conditions typically associated with wilderness survival or emergency situations. A wick element facilitates ignition of the fire starter and extends through a generally cubical outer shell into a solid fuel inner core. The wick element can include one or more wicks associated with a wax, each wick including multiple strands of one or more wicking materials. The outer shell provides a hard, non-greasy external surface for the fire starter and substantially encapsulates the solid fuel inner core. The solid fuel inner core includes a fibrous material associated with a wax and can provide fuel to the flame of the fire starter.
Method for producing molded solid fuel
A method for producing a briquetted solid fuel includes pulverizing a low-rank coal. The pulverized low-rank coal is mixed with a solvent oil to give a slurry. The slurry is heated and dewatered to give a dewatered slurry. The solvent oil is separated from the dewatered slurry to give a cake. The cake is heated to further separate the solvent oil from the cake to thereby give a refined coal in powder form. The refined coal is combined with a property-controlling coal in powder form having, as properties, a loose bulk density of 0.6 kg/L or more and an angle of repose of 40 or less, to give a briquetting feedstock containing the property-controlling coal in an amount of 5 to 70 mass percent based on the total mass of the briquetting feedstock. The briquetting feedstock is briquetted under pressure to give the briquetted solid fuel in briquette form.
Method for sorting and comprehensively utilizing municipal solid waste
A method for sorting and comprehensively utilizing municipal solid waste includes steps of: 1) feeding the municipal solid waste into a feeding tank through a feeding inlet, then outputting into a breaking device; 2) breaking refuse bags and large blocks by the breaking device; 3) transporting broken refuse into a two-stage roller screen for screening out dusts with a particle size of less than 3 mm, and hanging strips; and 4) transporting mixed refuse screened by the two-stage screen into a vibrating screen; screening oversize products by a heavy winnowing machine for separating inorganic blocks, large plastics and paper; transporting underflow products into a two-room multi-functional winnowing machine for dividing into heavy materials, light materials and medium materials. By effectively combining sorting devices, effective sorting and reutilization of mixed refuse are achieved. Thereafter, paper, fibers, plastics and kitchen organic refuse are respectively for producing refuse derived fuel, wood-plastic composite and fertilizer.

Briquettes
A briquette for use as a mineral charge in a cupola furnace for the production of mineral wool fibres is produced by combining: a) recycled waste mineral wool selected from i) waste mineral wool comprising uncured sugar containing binder, ii) waste mineral wool comprising cured binder, iii) waste mineral wool without binder and iv) combination thereof, b) cement, and c) additional sugar(s) to form a mouldable mixture and moulding and curing the mouldable mixture to form the briquette.
Binder and manufacturing methods
A binder for extruded, pelletized, briquetted, or agglomerated material, the binder having a composition including from 80% to 90% in weight of a pyrolysis oil resulting from the pyrolysis of biomass and from 10% to 20% in weight of thermoplastics.
SOLID BIOMASS FUEL ANTI-COKING ADDITIVE
A solid biomass fuel derived from one or more sources of biomass, wherein the one or more sources of biomass comprise: straw, palm-derived material, nut shells, hemp, bamboo, corn cob, rice husk, fruit shells, crop residues, seaweed, calliandra calothyrsus, acacia mangium, albizia chinensis, hevea brasiliensis, grass, or any combination thereof: wherein the solid biomass fuel further comprises one or more aluminosilicate-containing clays, one or more aluminosilicates, one or more pulverised fuel ashes, or a combination thereof.
