A grease composition is disclosed which is intended primarily for use in constant velocity joints (CV joints), especially ball joints and/or tripod joints, which are used in the driveline of motor vehicles. The grease composition for use in constant velocity joints comprises at least one base oil, at least one thickener, zinc sulfide, at least one copper sulfide and molybdenum disulfide and/or tungsten disulfide. Further, the present disclosure relates to a constant velocity joint comprising such a grease composition.

The present invention relates to a hydraulic fluid composition containing a base oil (A), an antioxidant (B) including an amine-based antioxidant (B1) and a phenol-based antioxidant (B2), and a succinimide-based compound (C), wherein the hydraulic fluid composition satisfies the following requirement (I); and is to be used for hydraulic equipment which is equipped with at least one of a wet type brake and a wet type clutch and which is selected from a construction machinery, a general industrial machinery, and a power generator, and in which a working pressure is 30 MPa or more. The hydraulic fluid composition is not only excellent in wear resistance and an effect for suppressing the sludge formation but also excellent in a braking performance or a clutch performance, even when used under a high-pressure condition. Requirement (I): A static friction coefficient (μ.sub.s) after 1,000 cycles, as measured in conformity with the SAE No. 2 test described in JCMAS P 047:2004, is 0.100 to 0.162.

Dinuclear molybdenum complex and use of same in lubricating compositions

The present invention relates to a dinuclear molybdenum complex with ligands selected from fatty tertiary amines of formula (I):

To provide a grease composition that is capable of effectively preventing an early-flaking caused by hydrogen embrittlement, and a grease-sealed bearing in which the grease composition is sealed. A grease composition 7 contains a base oil, a thickener, and an additive. The additive contains sodium molybdate, and zinc alkyldithiophosphate having a 1-30 C primary alkyl group. The grease composition contains 0.1-5 mass % of the sodium molybdate relative to the whole of the grease composition. The grease composition contains 0.1-5 mass % of the zinc alkyldithiophosphate relative to the whole of the grease composition.

Engine oil formulations for low timing chain stretch

A lubricating oil composition and method for controlling timing chain stretch, wherein the composition contains greater than 50 wt. % of base oil, zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate(s) to provide 350-2200 ppm zinc, molybdenum-containing compound(s) to provide >1-3000 ppm molybdenum, and magnesium-containing detergent(s) to provide <2050 ppm magnesium, all based on the total weight of the composition. The composition has a total TBN of less than 7.5 mg KOH/g, measured by ASTM D-2896 and a weight ratio of ppm of zinc from zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate(s) to ppm of molybdenum from molybdenum-containing compound(s) of <10. The method employs the lubricating oil composition to control timing chain stretch to a level of 0.1% or less.
