LUBRICANT COMPOSITION
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lubricant composition which can be applied as a gear oil for a high-output and high-speed gear mechanism, and whereby fuel saving as well as further wear resistance in a bearing of a pinion gear can be realized while maintaining excellent durability, seizure resistance, and stability are maintained. A lubricant composition containing a Fischer-Tropsch-derived base oil, a poly alpha-olefin, and an ester compound, and further containing an unsaturated fatty acid and/or a partial ester compound of an unsaturated fatty acid and a polyol, wherein the partial ester compound of an unsaturated fatty acid includes a monoester compound of an unsaturated fatty acid and a polyol in a ratio of 50% by mass with respect to the total amount of the partial ester compound, and the SAE viscosity grade of the lubricant composition is 75W-85 or lower.
SYNTHETIC LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITIONS
A lubricating base stock comprising an alkyl aromatic, a blend of additives, a blend of oil soluble polyalkylene glycols and a blend of polyolefins. In the lubricating base stock, the oil soluble polyaklyene glycols are homopolymers of ethylene oxide. Additionally, in the lubricating base stock, the blend of polyolefins comprises at least one metallocene polyolefin.
SILICONE FUNCTIONLIZED VISCOSITY INDEX IMPROVER
A multi-functional olefin copolymer viscosity index improver and a lubricating oil composition including such lubricant additive that provides improved viscometric properties and helps reduce low speed pre-ignition events at the same time. In one approach, the multi-functional olefin copolymer viscosity index improver is silicone functionalized and includes an acylated olefin copolymer with aminosilane or aminosiloxone pendant or side groups.

The disclosure also relates to the use of lubricant compositions comprising the additives herein for improving the soot or sludge handling characteristics of an engine lubricant composition and while minimizing the deterioration of engine's elastomer compatibility.

Provided is a heat-treatment oil composition that makes it possible to suppress quenching distortion and distortion variation and to achieve improved quenching hardness. A heat-treatment oil composition that includes a base oil (A) and a vapor film rupturing agent (B). The heat-treatment oil composition makes it such that, on a cooling curve obtained in accordance with the cooling performance test method in HS K2242:2012, the time in seconds to 300 C., e.g., the cooling time from 800 C. to 300 C., is at least 6.5 seconds but less than 10 seconds. Component (B) includes a petroleum resin.
