Low sulfur diesel blockage inhibitor, preparation method therefor and use thereof
A low sulfur diesel blockage inhibitor as shown in formula (I), a preparation method therefor, and use thereof are provided. In formula (I), x and y are each an integer between 0 and 4; m and n are each selected from H, a C1-C6 linear or branched alkyl group, or a C3-C6 cycloalkyl group. By using a vegetable oil as a raw material, a modified vegetable oil fatty acid is first obtained, and then a polar group of an unsaturated dialdehyde with a certain chain length is introduced into a molecular chain of the modified vegetable oil fatty acid. ##STR00001##
Non-newtonian engine oil with superior engine wear protection and fuel economy
Provided is a non-Newtonian engine oil lubricant composition with improved fuel efficiency and engine wear protection. The lubricant composition includes a major amount of a base oil including a Group II base stock and an optional Group V base stock, from 0.1 to 9.0 wt. % of at least one viscosity modifier and from 0.1 to 1.2 wt. % of at least one friction modifier. The non-Newtonian engine oil lubricant composition has a kinematic viscosity at 100 deg. C. of less than or equal to 10 cSt and an HTHS (ASTM D4683) of less than or equal to 2.2 cP at 150 C. Also provided are methods of using the lubricant composition in internal combustion engines and methods of making the lubricant composition.
INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANT INCLUDING METAL CHALCOGENIDE PARTICLES AND PHOSPHORUS-BASED ADDITIVE
An industrial lubricant composition including an oil base selected from the group consisting of vegetable oil, Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV, Group V and combinations thereof and a phosphorus-based non-chlorine additive. The industrial lubricant also includes at least one intercalation compound of a metal chalcogenide, a carbon containing compound and a boron containing compound, wherein the intercalation compound may have a geometry that is a platelet shaped geometry, a spherical shaped geometry, a multi-layered fullerene-like geometry, a tubular-like geometry or a combination thereof.
Petrolatum substitution preparation
There is provided a petrolatum substitute. The petrolatum substitute preparation comprises 1-20 wt % of at least one oil thickening agent, 7-40 wt % of at least one structuring agent, 0.5-10 wt % of at least one phytosterol or ester thereof, and 30-92 wt % of at least one emollient, wherein the preparation has a melting point of 35? C. or more. The petrolatum substitute preparation can be used in essentially all applications where petrolatum is used today. The substitute can be made renewable and the use of over-exploited natural products is minimized. The preparation is less irritant and has excellent moisture barrier properties when applied to human skin. Further it is less energy consuming to manufacture.
Refractory binder system
A refractory formulation containing an anhydrous solvent, an oleophilic rheology modifier and a refractory aggregate exhibits non-thermoplastic behavior, and remains plastic and formable at temperatures in the range of 10 degrees Celsius to 180 degrees Celsius. The oleophilic rheology modifier may effectively bind with the solvent to create a gel-like structure with organic solvents with moderate to high polarity. A phyllosilicate clay that has been treated with a quaternary fatty acid amine may be used as the oleophilic rheology modifier.
Use of Calcium Complex Lubricating Greases and Calcium Sulfonate Complex Lubricating Greases for the Lubrication of Wire Ropes
The invention relates to the use of calcium complex and calcium sulfate complex lubricating grease compositions as lubricants for wire ropes. The invention further relates to a method for producing the wire ropes and to wire ropes provided with the lubricating grease composition.
Polytriglycerides
Disclosed herein are polyketone triglyceride compositions containing 8 to 16 ketone carbonyl moieties per triglyceride unit and methods of making. Also disclosed are polyimine triglyceride compositions having has 8 to 16 nitrogen moieties per triglyceride unit and methods of making. Also disclosed are polyamine triglyceride compositions containing 8 to 16 nitrogen moieties per triglyceride unit and methods of making.
Metalworking Fluid
A metalworking fluid is disclosed. The fluid comprises an oleaginous component, an aqueous component, and a surfactant dispersed in the aqueous component. The metalworking fluid is substantially free from defoamers or anti-foam compounds.
PETROLATUM SUBSTITUTION PREPARATION
