NON-FLAMMABLE AEROSOL MULTIUSE INVERT EMULSION LUBRICANT
The present invention provides stable water-in-oil emulsions suitable for use as fire-resistant aerosol multipurpose lubricants. The water-in-oil emulsion comprises a synthetic ester base oil, compatible invert emulsifier, water, and a preservative. The aerosol apparatus employs a larger than standard stem orifice to produce a non-flammable aerosol.
Dispersions Of Polymeric Oil Additives
The invention provides dispersions comprising I) at least one oil-soluble polymer effective as a cold flow improver for mineral oils, II) at least one organic, water-immiscible solvent, III) a dispersant comprising, based on the total amount of dispersant, a) 10-90% by weight of a salt of an ethercarboxylic acid and b) 90-10% by weight of a nonionic surfactant, IV) water and V) at least one organic, water-miscible solvent.
VEHICULAR GEAR SYSTEM FRICTION REDUCTION
An automotive axle includes a housing including gears and a bath lubricating the gears, the bath including gear oil and about 0.1 to 5 wt. % secondary alcohol ethoxylate based on total weight of the bath such that during automotive operation at temperatures less than a threshold, reverse micelles form to trap air bubbles in the bath, emulsifying the bath, and at temperatures greater than the threshold, the reverse micelles dissipate.
WATER SOLUBLE METALWORKING CONCENTRATE
A water soluble metalworking concentrate is a combination of one or more amines; one or more ferrous corrosion inhibitors; one or more phosphate esters; one or more ether carboxylates; a ricinoleic acid condensate; one or more lubricating agents; deionized water and, optionally, one or more non-ferrous corrosion inhibitors. In use, the concentrate is diluted to a concentration of approximately 5% to approximately 10%. In use, the metalworking fluid exhibits excellent lubricity, low foam generation, emulsion stability, protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, biostatic stability and environmental compatibility.
Gear oil composition
The present invention relates to a gear oil composition containing a base stock and at least 0.01 wt % of a friction reducing additive which comprises a glycerol and/or polyglycerol C.sub.12 to C.sub.24 saturated fatty ester. The gear oil composition is suitable for use in gear boxes in automotive, industrial and marine applications.
Dialkyl-polyalkylamine compositions, process for their preparation and their use
The application relates to compositions comprising di-fatty-alkyl or -alkenyl polyalkylamines of the general formula (I) or (II), to a process for their preparation which involves a cyanoethylation step and a hydrogenation step, and their use as demulsifiers for oil-in-water emulsions, corrosion inhibitor, fuel additive, anti-scaling agent, asphalt additive, enhanced oil recovery agent for oil-wells, cutting-oil additive, and anti-static agent. The product show good performance combined with a favourable viscosity profile. ##STR00001##

The aerosol apparatus employs a larger than standard stem orifice to produce a non-flammable aerosol.
Phosphate composition
A process for the preparation of a composition comprising amine-containing phosphate glycerides including: phosphorylating a solution which comprises mixed glycerides that contain fatty acid portions and an amine under conditions which are substantially water-free and under which said phosphorous pentoxide reacts with reactive constituents in said solution to form said amine-containing phosphate glycerides and a lubricating composition comprising a lubricant, the aforesaid composition in an amount which improves the properties of the lubricating composition, and optionally one or more other constituents which improve the properties of the lubricating composition.
DUAL PHASE LUBRICANTS
Implementations of the disclosed subject matter provide a lubricating oil composition. The composition comprising (a) from 45 to 75 mass % of a low viscosity first base oil component which is a Fischer-Tropsch derived base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100 C. in the range of from 3.5 to 7.0 mm.sup.2/s; (b) from 3 to 35 mass % of a high viscosity second base oil component which is a polyalkylene glycol; and (c) an anti-foam additive which is a non-ionic surfactant. The mass % of the composition is based on the overall mass of the lubricating composition.
Slideway Lubricants
The present disclosure relates to lubricating oil compositions, and in particular, lubricating oil compositions for slideway applications, additive compositions for the slideway lubricants, and methods of lubricating a machine part, such as a slideway with the lubricating oil compositions. In one aspect, the lubricating oil compositions have a composition that provides both good friction performance and good separability from metal working fluids at the same time.
