Collapsible containers
Collapsible portable containers having a foldable wall section with shape-retaining characteristics are disclosed. In particular, collapsible, wheeled suitcases and trolleys are provided. One or more casters of a collapsible suitcase may be retractable to permit a folding region of a wall section to overlap the depth dimension of the casters when in the collapsed position. The folding region may include foldable tiers of a flexible material, each tier having at least one stable, relatively expanded position and at least one stable, relatively collapsed position; and an intervening, non-folding tier. The non-folding tier may be of the same material as the flexible tiers but stiffer due to its geometry, or it may be composed of a different, relatively rigid material.
Luggage apparatus
A luggage apparatus is described. The luggage apparatus comprises an apparatus body having a moveable portion and a fixed portion, the moveable portion being movable with respect to the fixed portion between a deployed position and a stowed position. In the deployed position, a moveable portion surface and a fixed portion surface are arranged to define a seat for a child and in the stowed position, the moveable and fixed portion surfaces are substantially contained within the luggage apparatus body.
Item of luggage
The present invention provides an item of luggage (1) having a receptacle (2) to receive items to be transported, a support (14) for the receptacle, a pair of wheels (5, 6) connected to the support (9) and a handle (3) connected to the support (14), with the support (9), receptacle (2), wheels (5, 6) and handle (3) being arranged such that the handle (3) may be used to push or pull the receptacle (2) along on the pair of wheels (5, 6) in the manner of a conventional flight bag. The item further comprises a footplate (11) pivotally attached to the support at one end and with a wheel at the other end. The (footplate 11) is pivotable between a folded position where it lies substantially adjacent the receptacle (2) and an extended position where the footplate (11) extends away from the receptacle (2), wherein, when the footplate (11) is in an extended position, the said pair of wheels (5, 6), the footplate (11) and the handle (3) form a scooter, The invention may, for example, be applied to a piece of carry-on luggage for an aircraft and may thus encourage a child to transport the item through the airport and make the experience more fun for that child.
Luggage protection device
The luggage protection device is a suitcase aid especially welcomed by seasoned travelers, since suitcases are often subject to intentional and unintentional opening, and suitcase wheels are easy targets for damage, whether by bag handlers or by bag handling equipment. A closure cover guards zippers and the like against damage and opening, while a bottom cover guards wheels and bag bottoms. The bottom cover is provided in both a flexible design and a rigid design. Both designs are removable, and both can be fitted within a suitcase with little interior suitcase room required. A retractable wheel set is also offered as part of the device.
Backpack with retractable handle and wheels
The backpack with retractable handle and wheels comprises an extendable handle, a plurality of wheel mechanisms and a luggage item. The luggage item is modified to further comprise a center channel, a grip aperture, a plurality of wheel cavities, and a plurality of wheel covers. The extendable handle is stored within the center channel. The extendable handle projects through the grip aperture such that the extendable handle may be withdrawn from the center channel. The backpack with retractable handle and wheels is designed such that each of the plurality of wheel mechanisms is stored in a wheel cavity selected from the plurality of wheel cavities. Each of the plurality of wheel mechanisms is mechanically linked to the extendable handle such that when the extendable handle is withdrawn from the center channel each of the plurality of wheels extends out of its corresponding wheel channel.
LUGGAGE
A luggage includes a case and a handle. The handle is connected to the case through two telescopic rods which are provided for stretching or withdrawing the handle with respect to the case, and the bottom of the case has two wheels. The wheels are disposed in the case, and the luggage has a wheel moving means for moving the wheels outwardly from the case or inwardly towards the case when the handle is moved. When the handle is pulled to stretch towards the outside of the case, the wheels are moved outwardly from the case. When the handle is withdrawn towards the case, the wheels are withdrawn inwardly towards the case. With the wheel moving means, the wheels can be moved and stretched or withdrawn to reduce the height of the luggage, so as to facilitate storage.
Luggage assembly and a frame
Some embodiments are directed to a luggage assembly, and frame, wherein the luggage assembly includes a luggage item and a wheel assembly. The wheel assembly includes at least one front wheel, and rear wheels which are all moveable between a folded and an unfolded position. The folded positions of the wheels are within the luggage assembly. The unfolded position of the rear wheels is behind the luggage assembly and the unfolded position of the front wheel is below the luggage assembly. When the wheels are in the unfolded position and the luggage assembly is arranged on the wheels on the ground, the luggage item is tilted and a projected point of gravity of the luggage item is in between the wheels. The disclosed luggage assembly is suitable for being pushed and being pulled, is very stable and provides a stable road behavior.
Multi-Functional Convertible Storage Apparatus
A multi-functional storage apparatus and system may comprise a storage unit such as a backpack, suitcase, briefcase, or other luggage item that is bodily integrated with a personal transportation device. A scooter embodiment may comprise a steering shaft terminating in a wheel and a first and a second wheeled foot plate configured to support and rollably transport the storage unit and, when optionally deployed, a user. An electrical power source may deliver electrical power to one or more mobile electronic devices transported by a user and may be integrated with the body of the apparatus as well.
Tubular portable food storage for transporting perishable items
A portable container for transporting and storing a plurality of perishable items including food and beverage items, having a heat-resistant outer tubular member with double-layered insulation in an adjacent inner tubular member to accommodate a plurality of perishable items and to sustain the prescribed temperature of such food and beverage items and to promote longevity thereof. The portable container optionally includes a plurality of external compartments and has removable endcaps enclosing both ends thereof. Each endcap is conveniently removed from a tubular end and then used as a cup for drinking a plurality of beverage items or used as a dish for eating a plurality of food items.
