The method for producing a polyalkylene glycol of the present invention is a method for producing a polyalkylene glycol, including performing a polymerization reaction of an alkylene oxide with a composite metal catalyst, the polymerization reaction being performed in the presence of an organic solvent in an amount of 10 to 90 mass % based on the polyalkylene glycol to be produced.
ROLLING BEARING, MACHINE ELEMENT, AND SOLID-FILM FORMATION METHOD
A method is provided that forms a solid film on a bearing component of a rolling bearing. A solution containing a fluorine compound and a lubricant having no functional group is allowed to adhere to the bearing component as a liquid film, the fluorine compound containing 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate, hexafluoropropene, and methyl methacrylate as components. The solid film is formed on the at least one of the bearing components by hardening the adhering liquid film.
Rolling Bearing, Rotating Machine Element, and Solid-Film Formation Method
A method is provided that forms a solid film on a bearing component of a rolling bearing. A solution containing a fluorine compound and a lubricant having no functional group is allowed to adhere to the bearing component as a first liquid film (adhesion step). The adhering first liquid film is hardened to form the solid film on the bearing component. The rolling bearing including the bearing component with the solid film formed thereon is rotated. The rolling bearing is washed in a washer fluid containing the same lubricant as that used in the adhesion step, and the washer fluid is allowed to adhere to the bearing component as a second liquid film. Then, the adhering second liquid film is dried.

There is provided an ultraviolet curable resin composition for a self-lubricating liner, including: a (meth)acrylate compound having an isocyanuric acid ring; at least one of (meth)acrylate having a phosphoric acid ester group and (meth)acrylate having a silane group: a polythiol compound; and a polytetrafluoroethylene resin as a solid lubricant.
Lubricating Oil Composition
The present disclosure provides a lubricating oil composition which is excellent in metal fatigue life, wear resistance and electrical insulating properties, even when the composition has a reduced viscosity. The lubricating oil composition according to the present disclosure comprises: (A) a lubricating base oil; (B) from 0.6 to 4.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, of a polydiene having a number average molecular weight of from 500 to 3,000 and containing a functional group on at least one end thereof; and (C) at least one selected from a phosphorus-based anti-wear agent and a phosphorus-based extreme pressure agent, the at least one agent being contained in such an amount that the content of phosphorus is from 50 to 500 ppm by weight based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition.

Bearing device comprising: —a first bearing surface and a second bearing surface which are moveable relative to one another and which face one another, wherein the first bearing surface and second bearing surface are separated by a bearing gap filled with a lubricant, wherein the lubricant comprises a carrier fluid and particles which respond to magnetic or electric fields, wherein said particles are suspended in the carrier fluid in the absence of magnetic or electric fields, —one or more field generators which are embedded in the first or second bearing surface, wherein the field generators are magnetic or electric field generators configured to generate a localized magnetic or electric field which is configured to locally remove the particles from suspension by exerting a field force on the particles, thereby forming a local flow obstruction on at least one of the bearing surfaces in the form of an agglomerate of previously suspended particles, wherein the local flow obstruction is configured to locally obstruct a flow of the lubricant through the bearing gap in an obstruction zone.
ELECTRICALLY-CONDUCTIVE LUBRICANT
Provided is a lubricant composition including a bicyclic liquid crystal of formula (1), and a tricyclic liquid crystal compound of formula (2), and having a mixing mass ratio of the bicyclic liquid crystal compound and tricyclic liquid crystal compound of 95:5 to 15:85. The composition is suitable for use in a clean environment, under a high vacuum, under high temperature and a bearing.

ROLLING BEARING
A rolling bearing is filled with a grease composition that contains a fluorine-based grease including a fluorine-based base oil and a fluorine-based thickener, a non-fluorine-based grease including a non-fluorine-based base oil and a non-fluorine-based thickener, and an additive serving as a dispersant. The non-fluorine-based thickener includes at least one of aliphatic-aromatic urea, alicyclic-aliphatic urea and aliphatic urea. The dispersant includes at least one of polycarboxylic acid metal salt, fluorine-containing group/lipophilic group-containing oligomer, fluorinated ether diamide, and organic acid metal salt.

A lubricant composition comprising an oil-soluble polyalkylene glycol; an ester compound selected from the group of natural esters and synthetic esters, and combinations thereof; and an additive mixture comprising an antioxidant and an anticorrosive, wherein the anticorrosive is selected from neutral alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts of sulfonic acids, carboxylic acids, naphthoic acids, naphthenic acids, benzoic acids and phosphoric acids, and derivatives and combinations thereof.
