Unit of luggage configured to ascertain its own weight
A unit of luggage configured to ascertain its own weight. The unit of luggage comprises a detection assembly with one sensor assembly disposed around each wheel. Each sensor assembly comprises a housing assembly and a shaft disposed therein. The sensor assembly comprises a sensor housing, a cylinder housing and a cylinder. A load cell sensor is generally disposed within the sensor housing and is operatively disposed adjacent to the shaft such that it may engage the sensor and cause an upward deflection that generates a stress indicative of the weight of the unit of luggage being transferred to the particular, corresponding wheel. The cylinder housing is disposed below the sensor housing and encloses the cylinder, which itself encloses the shaft. A frictional resistance between the shaft and the cylinder permits a controlled movement of the shaft therein and permits a processing unit to ascertain a corresponding weight reading.

The suitcase is able to be configured to provide the utility of a luggage cart, a shopping cart, a shopping basket, a stool, a table, and attachment points for LATCH system infant car seats.
Luggage comprising a foldable structure
A luggage with a foldable structure between a conformation of reduced volume suitable for the stowage and a developed conformation with a volume suitable for use. The luggage has an access face and a bottom opposite to the access face. The bottom is bordered by four side faces. At least one of the two side faces is associated at least one stiffening panel, that is configured to swivel towards the bottom of the luggage. A third side face has a foldable structure lockable by a side locking device.
Smart luggage system with camera installed in pull rod
A smart luggage system includes a piece of luggage configured to store items for transport and a handle coupled to the luggage. The handle includes a pull rod coupled to a connecting rod. One or more cameras are disposed in a top portion of the pull rod and configured to take a photograph and/or video. One or more cameras are coupled to the luggage and/or the handle and configured to take a photograph and/or video.
COMBINATION LUGGAGE AND CHILD CARRIER
The invention provides a luggage apparatus (10, 110) capable of being used in normal mode and alternately in child carrying mode. Luggage apparatus (10, 110) has a top (12, 112) a bottom (14, 114), a front (16, 116), a rear (18, 118) and opposing sides (20, 120) and (22, 122). The dimension between the front (16, 116) and the rear (18, 118) is longer than the dimension between the opposing sides (20, 120) and (22, 122). A first wheel means (24, 124) is located in the vicinity of the front (16, 116). The first wheel means (24, 124) is used to wheel luggage apparatus (10, 110) in normal mode. A second wheel means (28, 128) is located in the vicinity of the rear (18, 118) and, in conjunction with the first wheel means (24, 124), can be used to wheel the luggage apparatus (10, 110) in child carrying mode. A child seat (44, 144) is foldable within the luggage apparatus (10, 110) in normal mode and unfoldable in child carrying mode to be positioned on or above the top (12, 112) of the luggage apparatus (10, 110). In child carrying mode, the longer dimension is substantially parallel to the ground supporting the luggage apparatus (10, 110) and the unfolded child seat (44, 144) is positioned so that the centre of gravity of the child seat (44, 144) and any child thereon is substantially between the front (16, 116) and the rear (18, 118).
Luggage with auto-support mechanism
A luggage includes a luggage body, a luggage wheel mounted to each of two opposite lateral sides of the luggage body, and a support mechanism mounted to the luggage body. The support mechanism includes a locating shaft affixed to the luggage body, and a support member pivotally coupled to the locating shaft with a support portion and an actuation portion respectively located on two opposite ends thereof such that when the luggage body is shifted from a tilted position to an erected position, the actuation portion is forced by the floor to bias the support member and to further force the support portion into abutment against the floor where the distance between the support portion and the front side of the luggage body is larger than the distance between the axis of the luggage wheels and the front side of the luggage body to prevent falling of the luggage.
LUGGAGE CASE AND WHEEL SET THEREFOR
A luggage case 20 comprises a main container 30 having a parallel piped shape and defining a rectangular block cavity 22. The container 30 includes six panel walls, including a base 40, a narrow rear wall 50, a narrow front wall 32, a wide side panel 34, and a closable upper lid panel 36, optionally comprising split lid panels and closed by a standard zip fastener (as is standard in the field) to the adjacent walls of the container 20, including an upper end wall 38. A base 40i shows the layout of the base 40, 40i, noting that the base 40i is much wider than the base 40. The base 40i includes a wheel base 42 comprising two sets of multi-directional wheels 44i and 44ii. Each wheel set 44i-ii includes a rigid, beam or rod 46i, ii providing a substantially rigid and non-axially compressible structure at each end of the base 40i. The structures 46i, ii may form part of a wheel base 42 frame or may be simply formed in the interior of the generally stiffly constructed base 40i.
