Luggage with weight sensors
A self-weighing luggage device comprises a housing with a towing handle at one end and four wheel units mounted at the other end. Four weight determining sensors are incorporated into the wheel units, respectively. Each weight determining sensor is wired to a central circuit board, which is mounted on the inner surface of other end at position. The central circuit board is connected to a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) mounted in a recess in the handle end of the housing, which recess is adapted to receive the handle in a stowed position, such that the LCD is protected by the handle. In use, the self-weighing luggage device is stood on the ground on the four wheel units and the weight readings from each weight determining sensor are combined to give the total weight of the self-weighing luggage device, which total weight is displayed on the LCD.
Stabilized luggage
A stabilized luggage article is disclosed. In one practice, the luggage article comprises a plurality of swiveling wheel assemblies, each assembly comprising one or more wheels having a horizontal axis of rotation and mounted to a pivot member, such as a pivot post that has a vertical axis of wheel rotation; the vertical axis of rotation is laterally spaced from the horizontal axis of rotation and is projected outwardly toward the front wall of the luggage but not beyond it, the pivot post extending downwardly at least to the level of the horizontal axis of wheel rotation, preferably beyond it for further increased stability.
Smart luggage system
A smart luggage apparatus includes a case assembly with at least a stowage compartment. A smart handle assembly is mounted to a case assembly. The smart handle assembly includes a controller having a power supply and further powered by one or more battery, where one battery is located in the handle and a second battery is located in the stowage compartment. A smart luggage apparatus also includes a one or more scale that communicates with the smart handle controller and transmits the weight of the case assembly.
WHEEL ADAPTER TO CONVERT A STORAGE CONTAINER TO A WHEELED STORAGE CONTAINER
A wheel adapter to convert a storage container to a wheeled storage container is provided. The wheel adapter comprises a mounting bracket attachable to the storage container. The mounting bracket comprises a first leg configured to engage a bottom surface of the storage container, and a second leg configured to engage a side surface of the storage container. The second leg comprises a wheel coupling. The wheel adapter also includes a wheel rotatably connected to the wheel coupling. The wheel is constructed and arranged for rotation about an axis to provide rolling support of the storage container on the ground.
LUGGAGE COMPRISING A FOLDABLE STRUCTURE
A luggage with a foldable structure between a conformation of reduced volume suitable for the stowage and a developed conformation with a volume suitable for use. The luggage has an access face and a bottom opposite to the access face. The bottom is bordered by four side faces. At least one of the two side faces is associated at least one stiffening panel, that is configured to swivel towards the bottom of the luggage. A third side face has a foldable structure lockable by a side locking device.
SURVIVOR PACKAGE
A survival package includes a casing having first and second compartments storing survival items including a tent and tent pole. The casing can be delivered to a recipient in a closed configuration. When opened, the first and second compartments lie adjacent each other and form a platform. The tent shelter may be fitted to the platform to form a tent shelter, using the tent pole to support the tent. A life jacket may be attached to the casing and may be used to extend the platform as well as provided a means for carrying the casing as a backpack.
Protective system for luggage
Protective systems (1000) for a luggage piece (100) may include a deformable body (1002) and a cover (1004). The cover (1004) may be configured to overlie and to be coupled with the deformable body (1002). The cover (1004) may be more rigid than the deformable body (1002). The deformable body (1002) may include an interior shape (1034) at least partially complementary to a recess (1003) formed in an exterior surface (101) of the luggage piece (100). The deformable body (1002) may be joined to the luggage piece (100) when positioned at least partially in the recess (1003). External impacts exerted on the cover (1004) may be transmitted across the cover (1004) such that the forces associated with such external impacts may be exerted on the deformable body (1002) across a larger surface area than a surface area of the cover (1004) receiving the external impacts and may be at least partially absorbed by the deformable body (1002).
Luggage With Transport Platform
A luggage transport system includes a first piece of luggage and a transport platform coupled to the first piece of luggage and adapted for supporting at least one additional piece of luggage when in a working position, wherein the transport platform has a first part and a second part pivotably connected to the first part, wherein the second part is substantially perpendicular to the first part when the transport platform is in the working position.
Carrier Apparatus
Driving wheels and non-driving wheels are installed to a lower portion of a case body. The driving wheels are driven by drive devices, respectively. A control device controls a drive operation of the drive devices. An angle sensing device senses a tilt angle of the case body about a rotational axis of the driving wheels. In a case where the tilt angle of the case body, which is sensed with the angle sensing device, is equal to or larger than a predetermined tilt angle in a state where the driving wheels contact a ground while the non-driving wheels are lifted away from the ground, the control device controls the drive devices in such a manner that the case body is held in a self-standing state with the driving wheels while keeping the non-driving wheel away from the ground.
Luggage case and wheel set therefor
A luggage case 20 has a main container 30 having a parallel piped shape and defining a rectangular block cavity 22. The container 30 includes a base 40i and a narrow rear wall 50. The base 40i includes a wheel base 42 comprising two sets of multi-directional wheels 44i and 44ii. Each wheel set 44i-44ii includes a rigid, beam or rod 46i, 46ii providing a substantially rigid and non-axially compressible structure at each end of the base 40i. The structures 461, 46ii may form part of a wheel base 42 frame or may be simply formed in the interior of the generally stiffly constructed base 40i. The wheel sets 44i, 44ii include wheels 10,10i mounted to mounting points 26a, 26b, and are housed in recesses 24 at extreme ends of the first and second ends of the first and second edges 251, 25ii. Handle arms 51 are housed in widely spaced channels 54 at the extreme sides of the rear wall 50.
