Biodegradable lubricant with tailored hydrolytic stability and improved thermal stability through alkoxylation of glycerol
Described herein are methods of stabilizing the beta hydrogen of glycerol based esters by the insertion of alkoxy groups to significantly improve the thermal, oxidative, and hydrolytic stability of the ester and allow for controlling the molar density of esters bonds in the lubricants to maximize hydrolytic stability while maintaining biodegradability and further improving performance properties.

WATER-BASED LUBRICATING GREASE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
A water-based lubricating grease composition includes at least 40 wt % water; a salt-based thickener; a polymer-based thickener; and optionally, an inorganic solid-based thickener. A process for preparing the water-based lubricating grease composition may include blending a suitable amount of water with a salt-based thickener to provide a thickened water-based grease, wherein the salt-based thickener is obtained from contacting a base with a fat; and adding a polymer-based thickener to the thickened water-based grease.
COMPOSITION CONTAINING BIS-UREAS FOR FORMING STABLE GELS
The invention relates to a composition comprising classic bis-ureas and bis-ureas functionalised by macromolecular chains, said bis-ureas including complementary spacers of the aryl type, the mixture of said bis-ureas in a solvent leading to a stable physical gel. The invention also relates to a method for producing said composition and to the use of said composition as an organogelator, alone or in a cosmetic preparation, an ink, a fuel or a lubricant, especially of a motor vehicle.

Reactor For Continuously Treating Polymeric Material
A system for continuously treating recycled polymeric material includes a hopper configured to feed the recycled polymeric material into the system. An extruder can turn the recycled polymeric material in a molten material. In some embodiments, the extruder uses thermal fluids, electric heaters, and/or a separate heater. The molten material is depolymerized in a reactor. In some embodiments, a catalyst is used to aid in depolymerizing the material. In certain embodiments, the catalyst is contained in a permeable container. The depolymerized molten material can then be cooled via a heat exchanger. In some embodiments, multiple reactors are used. In certain embodiments, these reactors are connected in series. In some embodiments, the reactor(s) contain removable static mixer(s) and/or removable annular inserts.
PIPE SEALING COMPOUND/ADJUNCT LUBRICANT
The present invention describes a pipe sealing compound/adjunct lubricant used to prevent gas or liquid leaks when applied to pipe threads and other connections of the same. The compound relies on silicone oil lubricant(s) and one or more friction modifier(s), viscosity builder(s) and filler material(s). The compound contains a viscoelastic liquid that does not have a curing phase and is resistant to hardening and/or drying. The compound is chemically resistant to a wide variety of liquids and gases, is food safe and can withstand extreme high or low temperatures and precipitous temperature fluctuations. The compound has been found to exhibit an inverse pressure to leak rate phenomena.
