An adjustable carry bag includes an enclosure having a length that is adjustable. The enclosure has two separate end sections that are releasably connectable together to provide an opening. Each end section has a closure panel movable between an open position for permitting access to an interior space of the enclosure through the opening and a closed position in which the closure panel blocks access to the interior space. Coupling structures extend from and substantially around an entire perimeter portion of the respective connecting ends of the end sections for releasably coupling the end sections to one another. The coupling structures are configured to be releasably disconnected from one another for releasably connecting one or more tubular extension sections between the end sections to adjust the length of the enclosure.

The article of luggage includes a luggage main body having a bottom surface and a cavity formed to receive articles for packing; an expansion body having a perimeter defining a cavity; a foldable gusset joining the luggage main body to the expansion body; and an expansion and locking device disposed internally at opposite ends of the article of luggage. The expansion and locking device is configured to allow free movement of the expansion body in a compression direction towards the luggage main body and configured to allow locking movement of the expansion body in an expanding direction away from the luggage main body. One expansion and locking device is preferably attached to two or more walls of the luggage. After finishing packing, the luggage is closed and the user pushes the expanding member towards the base member, ratcheting the pawl past the ratchet teeth to collapse the luggage.

A collapsible luggage item includes a lower part forming an open-topped box having a substantially rigid bottom and a substantially rigid sidewall substantially perpendicular to the bottom, the sidewall having a lower edge attached to the bottom and an upper edge. The collapsible suitcase includes a collapsible upper part having a plurality of panels, each panel of the plurality of panels having a top edge, and a bottom edge pivotally joined to the upper edge of the sidewall so that each panel may be rotated between a deployed position substantially parallel to the sidewall and a collapsed position with the panel folded into the interior of the lower part, at least one substantially rigid corner brace attached to one of the panels, and at least one fastener that attaches each corner brace to the interior surface of a second panel, adjacent to the first panel, of the plurality of panels.

A backpack having a longitudinal axis and a perpendicular transverse axis includes a top end, a bottom end, and a body portion extending between the top end and the bottom end. The backpack also includes an expansion panel attached to each of the top end, the bottom end, and the body portion. The expansion panel is longitudinally-oriented and is configured to expand in a transverse direction between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration.

An adjustable carry bag has two end sections for releasable connection together at connecting ends thereof to form an interior space for accommodating therein at least one sport board. Each end section has a first access opening providing access into the interior space and a closed perimeter portion at the connecting end defining a second access opening providing access into the interior space different from the first access opening. In an open state, the first access opening provide access into the interior space for accommodating therein a sport board. In a closed state of the first access opening when the end sections are connected together, the bag completely encloses and securely holds therein the sport board. A coupling structure extends from the closed perimeter portion of each end section for releasably coupling the end sections together so that the closed perimeter portions and the coupling structures of the end sections encircle a preselected region of the interior space of the bag in both the open and closed states of the first access opening.

An automatic lift stand and case. The automatic lift stand and case includes a body having an opening and containing a platform. A latch mechanism is configured to maintain the platform in a lower position within the body. One or more resilient stored force devices are configured to move the platform from the lower position towards the opening of the body when the latch mechanism is released. One or more springs are pivotably coupled to the body and the platform, the length of each spring is substantially parallel to the platform when the platform is in the lower position and pivots to lift the platform as the platform is lifted towards the opening of the body by the one or more resilient stored force devices. Each spring is configured to lift the platform to a higher position when the resilient stored force devices pull the platform towards the opening of the body.

A motorized luggage assembly includes a base unit that may contain objects and the base unit may be placed on a support surface. The base unit is structured to roll along the support surface. The base unit includes a mobility unit that is coupled to the base unit. The mobility unit is urges the base unit along the support surface. A tracking unit is coupled to the base unit. The tracking unit is operationally coupled to the mobility unit such that the tracking unit steers the mobility unit. A remote unit is provided and the remote unit may be worn. The remote unit is in communication with the base unit such that the base unit may follow the remote unit.

Expandable luggage devices are provided. Included within expandable luggage devices is an expandable backpack that is convertible between at least two positions. An uppermost cover portion of the backpack converts to a side or back portion when the backpack is expanded, and a secondary cover portion is withdrawn from an internal area of the device to enclose or cover the backpack in the second position.

The case for vehicles comprises a first casing part; and a second casing part, the first casing part being movable relative to the second casing part between an extended and a reduced position; wherein the case also comprises traction cables, which, when the first casing part is moved, cause a straight line translation of the first casing part relative to the second casing part. It allows that when a user moves the first casing part relative to the second casing part, the traction cables allow the entire first casing part to move in a straight line.

A travel preparedness system that generally comprises four components: a multifunction configurable case with multiple compartments, including at least one detachable compartment, with a carrying strap that can be attached to either the configurable case or the detachable compartment; a thermally insulated container; a plurality of commercially available resealable containers and an array of commercially available preparedness articles useful or necessary for a traveler. The preparedness articles are selected from a group of articles intended to aid a traveler to recover from a multitude of adversities, injuries or maladies, that also includes articles useful for entertainment and for the preparation, consumption and storage of food stuffs. The four components cooperate and, together with a method, prepare a traveler for emergency and non-emergency travel situations.
