OMEGA-7 FATTY ACID COMPOSITION, METHODS OF CULTIVATION OF TRIBONEMA FOR PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITION AND APPLICATION OF COMPOSITION
An omega-7 fatty acid composition from a raw material Tribonema sp. obtained under heterotrophy and/or mixotrophy and a method of cultivation of Tribonema sp. by way of heterotrophy and/or mixotrophy. The content of omega-7 fatty acid in the omega-7 fatty acid composition is 30% to 70%. The method of cultivation involves nutrient composition of a culture medium, cultivation conditions, and operation steps of a cultivation process. An application of the method in the production of Tribonema biomass, lipid rich in omega-7 fatty acid, products with the biomass and/or the lipid as the raw material, etc.
Natural oil metathesis compositions and methods
A metathesized natural oil composition comprising (i) a mixture olefins and/or esters, or (ii) a metathesized natural oil, is disclosed. The metathesized natural oil composition has a number average molecular weight in the range from about 100 g/mol to about 150,000 g/mol, a weight average molecular weight in the range from about 1,000 g/mol to about 100,000 g/mol, a z-average molecular weight in the range from about 5,000 g/mol to about 1,000,000 g/mol, and a polydispersity index of about 1 to about 20. The metathesized natural oil composition is metathesized at least once.
Methods of producing vegetable oils with low minerals, metals, or other contaminants
The present disclosure describes methods for reducing the content of minerals, metals, ions, and/or other undesirable contaminants in vegetable oil, such as corn oil, obtained from fermentation of ground vegetable material. In one aspect, the methods herein produce distiller's corn oil having low amounts of minerals, metals, ions, and/or other contaminants rendering the corn oil more suitable for various further uses, such as biofuel production, with little to no additional refining.
METHODS, DEVICES, AND SYSTEMS FOR EXTRACTION OF OILS FROM PLANT MATTER
The present disclosure relates to methods, systems, and devices for efficiently extracting high quality oils and distillates, such as essential oils and hydrosols, from organic matter, such as plant matters. In some embodiments, organic matter comprises active chemical elements, which are used for therapeutic, medicinal, culinary, and industrial purposes.
Biodiesel composition and related process and products
There is described a biodiesel composition and process for producing biodiesel and related products. There is also described related fuels and fuel blends comprising biodiesel. The biodiesel composition may be prepared from a mixture comprising fats, oils and greases from sewer waste.
Non-Denatured Proteins Derived From a Biomass Source
A biomass-derived protein compound has a high concentration of protein and can be made to have a very low concentration of fat and water; even when the biomass feedstock has a high fat concentration. The biomass-derived protein compound may be a whole protein that is non-denatured and enzymatically digestible. This unique protein compound can be produced from molecules from more than one source organism, including various animals and/or plant feedstocks. The unique protein compound is derived from a unique biomass method and apparatus for the treatment of a biomass stream to extract and separate an essentially solvent-free product from the biomass stream. In this unique method the solids content of the biomass stream is increased by bringing the biomass stream into contact with a moderately pressurized liquefied gas solvent, to create a high solids content biomass stream and introducing the high solids content biomass stream to an extraction apparatus.
ADSORPTIVE PURIFICATION OF A RENEWABLE FEEDSTOCK
Present invention relates to a novel process for purification of feedstocks.
NOVEL METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF INORGANIC CHLORIDE COMPOUNDS FROM A FEEDSTOCK
The present disclosure relates to a novel process for removing or reducing inorganic and organic chloride containing compounds from a feedstock.
Process for Producing Biodiesel and Related Products
There is described a process for producing biodiesel and related products from mixtures. There is also described a process for producing precursors and feedstock materials for producing biodiesel and related products. The processes use esterification and trans-esterification, separation and purification. Other process steps such as acidification and distillation can also be used.
