A METHOD OF COUNTERING MALODOUR IN A WASHING MACHINE COMPRISING THE ADDITION OF A FRAGRANCE PRECURSOR
20220002637 · 2022-01-06 ·

A method of countering malodour in a washing machine at the end of a wash cycle, comprising the addition thereto of a fragrance precursor. The fragrance precursor may be added alone in solution, or as part of a fabric softener/conditioner. The precursor is particularly ethyl (Z)-2-acetyl-4-methyltridec-2-enoate; ethyl N,S-bis(4-oxo-4-(2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-3-en-1-yl)butan-2-yl)cysteinate; 4-(dodecylthio)-4-methylpentan-2-one; 1-butoxy-3-((1E,4Z)-hepta-1,4-dien-1-yl)benzene; 2-ethoxy-4-((1E,4Z)-hepta-1,4-dien-1-yl)phenol; and mixtures thereof.

The use of precursor in this manner provides a washing machine that is free from malodour for a prolonged period.

APPARATUS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPROVING SCENT DELIVERY

A volatile composition having: (i) greater than 30% of a scented hydrophobic material by weight of the volatile composition, wherein the scented hydrophobic material comprises one or more volatile compounds; and (ii) greater than 20% of a regulating scent intensity (RIS) composition by weight of the volatile composition.

The RIS composition has at least two of: a first regulating scent intensity component (RIS component) having a high average vapor pressure (VP); a second RIS component having a medium average VP; and a third RIS component having a low average VP;

The average VP of each of said one or more volatile compounds is lower than at least one of the high, medium and low average VPs of the first, second and third RIS components at the same temperature.

Described herein are compounds of formula (I) as properfume compounds. In particular, described herein is a method to release a compound being a ketone of formula (II), a formate ester of formula (III), and/or an alcohol of formula (IV) by exposing the compound of formula (I) to an environment wherein it is oxidized. Moreover, a perfuming composition and a perfumed consumer product including at least one compound of formula (I) are also described.

METHOD FOR THE MICROBIAL PRODUCTION OF SPECIFIC NATURAL CAPSAICINOIDS
20220403427 · 2022-12-22 · ·

The present invention relates to the production of capsaicinoid compounds including Capsaicin and Nonivamide via microbial fermentation.

Odorants and compositions comprising odorants

The present invention relates to new classes of odorous oximes and their ketone intermediates (odorants) which are useful as fragrance or flavor materials in particular in providing cassis, catty, tropical, green, coniferous, thuya, floral and/or fruity olfactory notes to perfume, aroma or deodorizing/masking compositions.

The present invention relates to freshening compositions, devices comprising same and methods of using same for freshening the atmosphere, the air or surfaces. Also provided are methods for manufacturing the freshening compositions and devices comprising same. Disclosed are non-glycol ether liquid freshening compositions comprising a fragrance release modulator. A freshening composition of this invention may comprise (i) from about 0.1 wt % to about 95 wt % perfume raw materials, (ii) from about 0.01 wt % to about 90 wt % fragrance release modulator, and (iii) from about 1.0 wt % to about 95 wt % solvents, diluents or a mixture thereof. Disclosed are passive and active air or surface freshening products comprising a freshening composition of the present invention that allow controlled and customized release of the freshening composition to the atmosphere, air, or onto surfaces. The addition of a fragrance release modulator to formulate a freshening composition of the present invention allows the modulation of the release of the freshening composition.
