DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING SCENTED CANDLE
Provided is a device for manufacturing a scented candle, the device including: a main body; a wax and oil supply portion provided at an upper portion of the main body and including a wax supplier melting and supplying wax and an oil supplier supplying fragrance oil; a base provided at a lower portion of the main body; and a container provided on the base and receiving the liquid wax and the fragrance oil.
CANDLE COMPRISING A FABRIC INFUSED WITH A WAX-BASED FORMULATION
A wickless candle is provided, the candle comprising one or more sheets, the sheet including a first outer layer, a second outer layer and an inner layer therebetween to provide a thickness, the first outer layer and the second outer layer including a beeswax-based formulation, the inner layer including the beeswax-based formulation and a combustible substrate, the substrate including a plurality of fibers and a plurality of interstitial spaces between the fibers, the interstitial spaces retaining the beeswax-based formulation, wherein the beeswax-formulation in the interstitial spaces is continuous with the beeswax-based formulation of the first outer layer and the second outer layer.
Candle wax compositions stabilized with UV absorbers and select hindered amine light stabilizers
A stabilized composition includes candle wax; an ultraviolet light absorber; and a hindered amine light stabilizer of formula (I). The compositions stabilize the candle with respect to yellowing, color fading in the case of dyed or pigmented candles, and other degradation of the waxes. The materials and compositions may be used in a wide variety of a candle waxes including, but not limited to, paraffin, beeswax, natural oils, polyamide plus fatty acids and esters thereof, fatty acids such as stearin, opacifiers, glycerides plus oxidized wax, alcohols, and ethylene oligomers.
Edible wicks, candles, confections and related methods
In part, the disclosure relates to various confections and edibles. In some embodiments, nuts are selected and processed to create an edible wick suitable for use in various confections such as edible chocolate, candy, cake or cookie candles. Other confections can be created using the embodiments disclosed herein including cupcakes, candle sticks, piata cakes, lollipops, candies, wicks, combinations of the foregoing and others. Thus, in one embodiment, a completely edible, non-toxic candle is presented. The candle includes a body and a wick, both comprised of edible materials. The natural oils of the edible wick provide a flammable fuel capable of sustaining a prolonged flame. The melted by-product of the burned candle remains edible and non-toxic for ingestion.
Layered candle assembly and methods of forming thereof
A method of forming a layered candle assembly includes positioning a candle core in a form. A layer of powdered wax is loaded into the form. The powdered wax layer has an outer region and an inner region. Mechanical force is applied to compress the outer region of the powdered wax layer and form an upper interface surface that is substantially non-horizontal. The outer perimeter of the interface surface is visible to an observer in the finished candle assembly. A liquefied fuel substance is poured over the top of the powdered wax layer to form a layer of solid wax. A wick may be added to at a desirable stage in the method of forming the layered candle assembly. The powdered wax and solid wax layers may each have a color or a combination of colors and/or a scent component or a combination of scent components.
Fatty acid ester-based wax compositions and methods of making thereof
This invention relates to a wax composition comprising one or more fatty acid diester compounds having the formula of ##STR00001##
R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.4 to C.sub.50 alkyl or aryl; and n.sub.1 is an integer from 2 to 10. This invention also relates to a wax composition comprising: a) one or more fatty acid monoester or diester compounds having the formula of: ##STR00002##
and b) one or more hydroxylated fatty acid diester compounds having the formula of ##STR00003##
In these formulae, R is H or COR.sub.1; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.4 to C.sub.50 alkyl or aryl; n.sub.2 is an integer from 2 to 24; m is an integer from 2 to 12; and .(OH).sub.m represents 2 to 12 hydroxyl groups substituting for 2 to 12 hydrogen atoms in the alkyl groups R.sub.1 and/or R.sub.2. Uses of the compositions are also disclosed.
Extruded wax melt and method of producing same
A wax melt blank is produced with an extrusion process and intended to later be cut to length into individual wax melts. The wax melt blank includes at least about fifty percent by weight of wax, a fragrance, and up to about fifty percent by weight of a filler. The wax, the fragrance, and the filler are homogeneously dispersed within the wax melt blank.
Topical macqui berry formulation
The present invention provides a topical formulation and method of use where the formulation comprises macqui berry or a macqui berry extract containing anthocyanins having a very high oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC). The formulation provides the macqui berry in a stabilized form which includes a glucuronide or glycuronide, a photostabilizing agent, encapsulation, or light- and/or air-blocking packaging.
Candle with water in wax
A method for producing a candle shaped from a wax, wherein a dispersion of water droplets is purposely added within the wax.
TOPICAL MACQUI BERRY FORMULA
The present invention provides a topical formulation and method of use where the formulation comprises macqui berry or a macqui berry extract containing anthocyanins having a very high oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC). The formulation provides the macqui berry in a stabilized form which includes a glucuronide or glycuronide, a photostabilizing agent, encapsulation, or lightand/or air-blocking packaging.
