Leuco polymers as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
A method of obtaining a laundry care composition, the method comprising the steps of (a) reacting a reactive leuco compound with a polymer to form a leuco polymer and (b) mixing the leuco polymer with at least one laundry care ingredient. The reactive leuco compound comprises at least one leuco moiety and at least one nucleophilic group. The polymer comprises at least one group capable of reacting with said nucleophilic group. The leuco moiety has a maximum molar extinction coefficient at a wavelength in the range 400 to 750 nm of less than 1000 M.sup.1 cm.sup.1.
Leuco polymers as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
A method of obtaining a laundry care composition, the method comprising the steps of (a) reacting a compound with a polymer to form a leuco polymer and (b) mixing the leuco polymer with at least one laundry care ingredient. The compound includes at least one leuco moiety and at least one electrophilic group. The polymer is comprised of co-monomers of an aryl dicarboxylate, an oxyalkyleneoxy and an oxypolyalkyleneoxy and the polymer comprises at least one moiety selected from the group consisting of hydroxy, sulfhydryl, primary amine and secondary amine.
Production of highly ionized alkaline water using a combination of reducing metals and reductive minerals
An ice machine or ice maker is configured to produce ionized alkaline ice by having water pass through a medium which causes the water to become ionized. In certain embodiments, the medium contains group II elements, rare earth minerals, metal reducing agents, mineral buffers. The medium may be in a filter with the water passing through the filter to produce ionized alkaline water. The ionized alkaline water is then frozen by the ice machine or ice maker to produce ionized alkaline ice. Exposure of the water to magnetic forces may assist in the production of ionized alkaline water.
IN SITU CLEANING SYSTEM
In situ cleaning systems and methods of use are disclosed and provide cleaning use solutions with minimal chemical additives providing environmentally-friendly cleaning compositions. The in situ cleaning system provides one or more in situ cleaning components, including water treatment components, oxidizing agent generating component and/or alkalinity generating component, providing a cleaning use solution to a washing system.
Method of imparting water repellency with non-fluorinated laundry treatment compositions
The present invention discloses a method of imparting water repellency and optionally stain release to fibrous substrates by contacting a fibrous substrate with a non-fluorinated laundry treatment composition inside a laundry machine. The laundry treatment composition contains a hydrophobic organic urethane compound having a urethane linkage and the residue of a substituted cyclic or acyclic sugar alcohol. Laundry additive compositions containing a first laundry treatment composition, having a hydrophobic organic urethane compound, and a second laundry treatment composition are also included.
UNIT DOSE PRODUCT COMPRISING A LIQUID COMPOSITION WITH ENCAPSULATED FRAGRANCE AND A POWDER COMPOSITION WITH PIGMENT
The present disclosure provides a unit dose product comprising a water-soluble film material comprising a first compartment that is adjacent to a second compartment. The first compartment encloses a liquid composition comprising an encapsulated fragrance and a non-aqueous solvent. The liquid composition can further comprise at least one additive selected from a rheology modifier, a pH-adjusting agent, water, and a bitterant. The second compartment encloses a powder composition comprising a salt, a fragrance oil, a pigment, such as a metal-containing pigment, and a flow aid. Also provided is a method of preparing the powder composition enclosed in the second compartment in the unit dose product comprising adding the pigment to the salt to provide a pigment-salt combination; followed by adding the flow aid to the pigment-salt combination.
OXIDIZED POLYSACCHARIDE DERIVATIVES
Disclosed herein are compositions that comprise at least one oxidized polysaccharide derivative. Such an oxidized polysaccharide derivative can be produced by contacting a polysaccharide derivative under aqueous conditions with at least one agent that is capable of oxidizing the polysaccharide derivative. The polysaccharide derivative for oxidation has a degree of substitution (DoS) up to about 3.0 with at least one organic group. Further disclosed are methods of producing oxidized polysaccharide derivatives, as well as their use in various applications and products.
