Esterquat compositions
Esterquat compositions are disclosed that comprise, based on the weight of the composition, 0% to about 70% by weight of a solvent, and about 30% to 100% by weight of a mixture comprising about 50% to about 80% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture, of esterquats and about 20% to about 50% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture, of mono- and diglycerides. The esterquat compositions can be prepared by the direct esterification of a natural oil with an alkanolamine, followed by quaternization in the presence of the solvent. The esterquat compositions can be formulated into hair care compositions that provide improved wet and dry combing properties.
METHODS FOR MAKING ENCAPSULATE-CONTAINING PRODUCT COMPOSITIONS
Methods relating to making product compositions that include encapsulates and borate compounds, where the encapsulates include polyvinyl alcohol polymer. Compositions made from such methods. Encapsulate slurries.
Mild liquid detergent formulations
The present invention provides methods for determining mild aqueous laundry detergent formulations, mild liquid laundry detergent formulations, and methods for preparing the same. The formulations comprise various surfactants and have a low detergent mildness indicator, derived from combining results from Zein test, corneosurfametry test, and in vitro cytokine release test.
Method of making surfactant compositions and detergent compositions
The present invention relates generally to methods of making surfactant compositions and detergent compositions.
Liquid surfactant compositions having a modified oxo-alcohol derivative
A liquid surfactant composition can include a C.sub.9-C.sub.20 alkylbenzene sulfonate, a first alcohol ether sulfate (AES), and a nonionic surfactant. The first AES surfactant can have a molecular formula of R.sup.1O(CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O).sub.mSO.sub.3M, wherein R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.10-C.sub.20 alkyl group, m represents a number from 6 to 8, and M represents a monovalent cation. The first AES surfactant can be a modified oxo-alcohol-based surfactant.
CONCENTRATED SURFACTANT COMPOSITION
Concentrated surfactant compositions that include an alkyl alkoxylated sulfate surfactant, and process for making such compositions. Detergent compositions made from such concentrated surfactant compositions, and process for making such detergent compositions.

Liquid laundry products comprising containers comprising liquid laundry compositions are disclosed. The liquid laundry compositions comprise approximately 2% wt to approximately 8% wt of a benzyl-substituted quaternary ammonium compound and score 75 or less under Test 437 from Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) titled Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability Test Method for Identifying Ocular Corrosives and Severe Irritants. As a result, the disclosed liquid laundry products do not require child-resistant packaging under 40 C.F.R. 157, subpart B.
PROCESS FOR FORMING A DESCALING COMPOSITION
A process for forming a descaling composition has the steps of macerating a bone meal with a dimethylamine solution, digesting the macerated bone meal with hydrochloric acid, neutralizing the digested bone meal with calcium oxide, treating the neutralized bone meal with sulfuric acid, and applying a refluxing treatment with dimethylamine and hydrazine hydrate. The process further includes removing the macerated bone meal solids from the dimethylamine solution and transferring the removed solids to an extraction tower prior to the step of digesting. The hydrochloric acid is circulated through the macerated bone meal. The treated bone meal and the sulfuric acid is filtered so as to produce a liquid phase and a solids phase. The liquid phase contains a phosphate amine. The dimethylamine and hydrazine hydrate are added to the liquid phase.
LIQUID SURFACTANT COMPOSITIONS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A liquid surfactant composition can include a C.sub.9-C.sub.20 alkylbenzene sulfonate, a nonionic surfactant, and an anionic surfactant. The anionic surfactant can include a first alcohol ether sulfate (AES) surfactant and a second AES surfactant. The second AES surfactant can have a molecular formula of R.sup.2O(CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O).sub.nSO.sub.3M, wherein R.sup.2 represents a C.sub.10-C.sub.20 alkyl group, n is 2 or 3, and M represents a monovalent cation. The first AES surfactant and the second AES surfactant can be present in the liquid surfactant composition at a weight ratio to provide the liquid surfactant composition with a fresh viscosity from about 350 centipoise (cPS) to about 550 cps.
