Polymer blend to stabilize highly alkaline laundry detergent
Liquid detergent compositions with polymer blends to provide a stable aqueous use solution of a highly alkaline detergent composition are provided. The liquid detergent composition include concentrates and use solutions with blends of alkali-swellable polymers (ASE) and hydrophobically-modified alkali-swellable polymers (HASE). Methods for washing textiles using the liquid detergent compositions are also provided.
PROCESSES FOR MAKING CONCENTRATED SURFACTANT BLENDS
A process for making a concentrated surfactant blend includes providing an alkyl alcohol stream; a sulfation step; providing a neutralising stream comprising at least one neutralising agent; and a neutralisation step. The concentrated surfactant blend includes alkyl sulfated anionic surfactant and a buffering surfactant selected from the group consisting of amphoteric surfactant, zwitterionic surfactant, and mixtures thereof. The buffering surfactant is added before or during the neutralising step. The buffering surfactant is added at a level to provide the concentrated surfactant blend with a reserve alkalinity of greater than about 0.02, and the concentrated surfactant blend has a pH of from about 7.1 to about 10.
NON-CHLORINATED OXIDIZING ALKALINE DEGREASING GELS AND USES THEREOF
Described herein are chlorine-free alkaline degreasing compositions. The compositions comprise at least one alkaline agent, surfactant(s) and potassium nitrate. The compositions of the invention advantageously comprise potassium nitrate instead of chlorinated compound(s). In embodiments, the degreasing composition takes the form of a gel. Since the compositions are chlorine-free they are particularly useful as cleansers and degreasers in food factories. Also described are methods for transforming an original cleaning composition comprising undesirable chlorinated compound(s) into an environmental-friendly chlorine-free cleaning composition by substituting the chlorinated compound(s) by potassium nitrate.
Laundry additive composition comprising a soil release polymer/silicone mixture
Method for softening knitted cotton, wherein knitted cotton is treated with an ancillary laundry composition comprising: a. Soil release polymer b. Silicone c. less than 4 w.t. % surfactant; and d. Water wherein the method comprises delivering the ancillary laundry composition into the wash or rise stage and comprises the steps of: a. Pouring a laundry product into a washing receptacle, a washing machine drawer, or a dosing shuttle b. Pouring the ancillary laundry composition on top of the laundry product. Use of the method for softening knitted cotton.
A HARD SURFACE CLEANING COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a hard surface cleaning composition. There is a need for improved cleaning compositions for providing antimicrobial benefit in addition to cleaning benefit. The inventors have found that an aqueous composition comprising 0.01 to 20% by weight alkene amide; 0.01 to 20% by weight glycol ether of formula (I): R1O(R2O)nR3; where: —R1 is a linear or branched alkyl or phenyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; —R2 is ethyl or isopropyl; —n is 1,2,3; —R3 is hydrogen or a linear or branched alkyl or phenyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; 0.1 to 50% by weight surfactant; and at least 10% by weight water, provides significant antimicrobial benefit.
Liquid detergent composition for tableware and/or kitchen hard articles
The present invention is a liquid detergent composition for tableware and/or kitchen hard articles containing: (a) a nonionic surfactant with an HLB of 10.5 or less (provided that (b) is excluded); (b) a glycoside having a hydrocarbon group with 8 or more and 18 or less carbons and a glycoside group with an average degree of condensation of 0.5 or more and 3 or less; and (c) an organic solvent with a logPow of 0 or more and 1.5 or less [hereinafter, referred to as component (c)], wherein the content of (a) in all surfactants is 30 mass % or more and 95 mass % or less, a mass ratio of component (c) to the content of (a), (c)/(a), is 2 or more and 8 or less, and a viscosity at 20° C. is 20 mPa.Math.s or less.
Liquid detergent composition for tableware and/or kitchen hard articles
The present invention is a liquid detergent composition for tableware and/or kitchen hard articles containing: (a) a nonionic surfactant with an HLB of 10.5 or less; (b) a surfactant selected from amine oxide-type surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, and nonionic surfactants with an HLB of 11 or more; and (c) an organic solvent with a log Pow of 0 or more and 1.5 or less, wherein a proportion of component (a) in all surfactants is 30 mass % or more and 85 mass % or less, a mass ratio of the content of (c) to the content of (a), (c)/(a), is 1 or more and 10 or less, and a viscosity at 20° C. is 20 mPa.Math.s or less.
COMPOSITION
A liquid laundry detergent composition comprising C18 alkyl ether sulphate and/or C18 alcohol ethoxylate and from 0.01 to 10% wt. fragrance.
Liquid detergent compositions
Liquid detergent compositions can include a first surfactant which is a mixture of surfactant isomers of Formula 1 and surfactants of Formula 2: ##STR00001##
wherein from about 50% to about 100% by weight of the first surfactant are isomers having m+n=11; wherein between about 25% to about 50% of the mixture of surfactant isomers of Formula 1 have n=0; wherein from about 0.001% to about 25% by weight of the first surfactant are surfactants of Formula 2; and wherein X is a hydrophilic moiety; and a second surfactant including a linear alkyl benzene sulfonate.
