The biological component kit includes tubes and a biological component cassette. The biological component cassette includes a cassette main body having flow paths in the interior of the cassette main body, and the cassette main body includes flow path opening/closing units which are capable of switching between opening and closing of the flow paths. The flow path opening/closing units include cutouts provided at positions adjacent to the flow paths.
Cell Culture System
The disclosure relates generally to a cell culture apparatus and a cell culture method. One aspect of the disclosure is an oxygen-permeable bag comprising one or more polymer films defining a boundary of an interior compartment of the bag, each of the one or more polymer films comprising an inner layer adjacent the interior compartment of the bag, the inner layer comprising a fluoropolymer, and adhered to the inner layer, an outer layer comprising polymer; a first port formed in an exterior surface of the bag and in fluid communication with the interior compartment; a second port formed in an exterior surface of the bag and in fluid communication with the interior compartment; and contained in the interior compartment, a plurality of microcarriers.
Single use bioreactor
A single-use bioreactor is provided. The single-use bioreactor may include a bioprocess container, a shell, at least one agitator, at least one sparger, at least one gas filter inlet port for the sparger(s) and headspace overlay, at least one fill port, at least one harvest port, at least one sample port, and at least one probe. In examples, at least one controller may monitor and control one or more parameters associated with the single-use bioreactor A method to cultivate and propagate mammalian cells is also provided. The method may include cultivating under suitable conditions and in a suitable culture medium in a first single-use bioreactor, transferring the medium containing the cells obtained by propagation from the at least one mammalian cell is into a second single-use bioreactor, transferring the medium containing the cells obtained by propagation from the at least one mammalian cell is into a third single-use bioreactor, and cultivating the cells in the third bioreactor.
Photoreceptor scaffold for in vitro modeling and transplantation therapy
Photoreceptor scaffolds and scaffold systems including the photoreceptor scaffolds are described herein. The scaffolds and scaffold systems can be used for transplantation of organized photoreceptor tissue, with or without RPE, which may improve grafted cell survival, integration, and functional visual rescue. Particularly, the photoreceptor scaffold is structured from a biocompatible film, patterned with an array of unique through-holes having a curvilinear cell receiver and at least one cell guide channel.
SHORTFALL QUANTITY LIQUID CONTAINER
A small-volume liquid container for dispensing a liquid medium, especially biological medium, into a bioprocessing system, especially into a bioreactor, wherein the liquid container provides an accommodation volume for the liquid medium, wherein the liquid container comprises two dimensionally stable container parts, which are movable relative to one another between an initial position and an end position, and an outlet connection for discharge of the liquid medium. It is proposed that the liquid container comprises a shape-changeable delimitation means which at least sectionally delimits the accommodation volume and which is connected to the dimensionally stable container parts in such a way that a relative movement of the dimensionally stable container parts to one another, causing a change in volume of the accommodation volume, is associated with a change in shape of the delimitation means.
DEVICE AND METHODS FOR FREE FLOATING MACROALGAE CULTIVATION OFFSHORE
The present invention provides novel devices, systems and methods for cultivating macroalgae in a waterbody, more particularly in the sea/offshore.
CULTIVATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTION OF CULTURED FOOD
Systems and methods for producing cultured food products such as cultured meat in a form of meat cut or offal are provided, comprising growing non-human-animal adherent cells on edible scaffold(s) in a cultivation system. The cultivation system typically comprises a plurality of cell culture bioreactors receiving medium at a controlled flow rate adjusted to nourish the non-human-animal adherent cells.
CELL CULTURE VESSEL AND METHOD FOR CULTURING CELL
A cell culture vessel comprising a housing in which a culture chamber is provided. In the housing, at least two holes that connect the outside of the housing and a culture chamber are provided.
ALL-IN-ONE BIOREACTOR FOR THERAPEUTIC CELLS MANUFACTURING
Methods and apparatus of bioreactors for therapeutic cells manufacturing are provided herein. In some embodiments, a bioreactor includes: an upper bioreactor reservoir configured to perform multiple cell therapy manufacturing process steps including genetic modification and expansion to a plurality of cells disposed therein, wherein the upper bioreactor reservoir includes a plurality of ports for delivering fluids into and out of the upper bioreactor reservoir; a lower bioreactor compartment configured to hold a suspension comprising a molecular species; and a membrane disposed between the lower bioreactor compartment and the upper bioreactor reservoir, wherein the membrane includes a plurality of micro-straws extending through the membrane and into the upper bioreactor reservoir to transfect the plurality of cells with the molecular species.
Extra-capillary fluid cycling system and method for a cell culture device
An extra-capillary fluid cycling unit for maintaining and cycling fluid volumes in a cell culture chamber includes a housing and a first flexible reservoir extra-capillary fluid reservoir disposed in the housing. The extra-capillary fluid reservoir is in fluid communication with a cell culture chamber. A second flexible reservoir is also located in the housing, the second flexible reservoir being in fluid communication with a pressure source. A sensor plate is movably disposed in the housing between the extra-capillary reservoir and the second reservoir, wherein the second reservoir is pressurized to move the sensor plate in relation to the extra-capillary reservoir to cause fluid cycling and maintain fluid volumes in the cell growth chamber.
