CELLULAR TARGETED PHARMACEUTICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCE OR LABEL DELIVERY SYSTEM

The present invention relates to an isolated cellular targeted delivery system comprising a CD45+ leukocyte cell comprising within said cell a complex of one or more iron binding proteins and an active pharmaceutically active substance and/or label as well as methods for producing such isolated cellular targeted delivery system and uses of such system for prophylaxis, therapy, diagnosis or theragnosis, in particular for prophylactic or therapeutic vaccination, therapy of cancer, particularly metastatic cancer or inflammatory diseases.

3D VASCULARIZED HUMAN OCULAR TISSUE FOR CELL THERAPY AND DRUG DISCOVERY

Methods are disclosed for fabricating a three-dimensional engineered blood retinal barrier (BRB) comprising a choroid and retinal pigment epithelial cells. The methods include the use of bioprinting. Also disclosed is a three-dimensional engineered BRB, and its use. Methods are also disclosed for using the three-dimensional engineered BRB, such as for the treatment of retinal degeneration in a subject or screening. A three-dimensional printing insert that is adapted for bioprinting on a culture substrate sheet that is securely retained within and exposed through a printing frame is also disclosed.

Method for producing neural stem cells using synthetic peptide

The composition for producing neural stem cells provided by the present invention contains an artificially synthesized synthetic peptide having a neural stem cell-inducing peptide sequence that induces neural stem cells from fibroblasts, and one or two or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. The neural stem cell-inducing peptide sequence is any of (i) an amino acid sequence constituting a signal peptide of any protein belonging to the amyloid precursor protein (APP) family, (ii) a partial amino acid sequence of the amino acid sequence of (i), and (iii) a modified amino acid sequence of the amino acid sequence of (i) or (ii).

Phospholipid compositions and use thereof to enhance spermatozoa motility, viability and resistance to oxydative damage

Sperm mobility and impregnation of an oocyte is enhanced by placing sperm in an aqueous solution of phospholipids prior to in vitro fertilization or artificial insemination. The aqueous phospholipid solution can also be used during storage or cryopreservation of the sperm. Also, the motility of sperm produced or ejaculated and the environment into which it is placed is enhanced my ingestion of the phospholipid composition by the male or female, or a vaginal placement of compositions containing the phospholipids.

METHODS OF CONTROLLING RED BLOOD CELL PRODUCTION

METHOD FOR INDUCING AND DETECTING SOLUBLE LOX-1 (sLOX-1) IN CULTURED BLOOD CLOTS

In an embodiment, present invention relates to a method of generating, ex vivo production of soluble Lox-1 (sLox-1), comprising: introducing a sample containing blood into a device; adding a coagulation enhancing material in the sample to form a cultured blood clot; incubating the cultured blood clot in the device at a temperature greater than 25? C. and less than 45? C. for at least 2 hours to allow production of Lox-1 from neutrophils of blood and to shed the sLox-1 outside the cultured blood clot; and collecting sLox-1 shedded in the device, wherein the method is configured to shed sLox-1 more than fresh blood.

Media for stem cell proliferation and induction

The present application discloses a cell culture media for growth, maintenance and induction of reversion to a less mature state of a cell comprising a MUC1* activating ligand.
