HAIR ROLLER SYSTEM WITH BUILT-IN CLAMP AND A ROLLER APPLICATOR
A system for applying one or more rollers to the hair of a person, the system including an applicator handle and rollers. Each roller includes a barrel with an outer cylindrical surface and a clamp pivotable to a closed position adjacent to the barrel surface. When the roller is installed on the applicator handle, the clamp is automatically pivoted away from the barrel and the roller is rotated by a motor built into the handle to allow the roller to wind several hair strands. When the roller is removed from the applicator handle, the clamp returns to the closed position and grasps the hair strands until it is released or opened manually.
HYDROPHILIC POLYURETHANE STRUCTURES AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Fiber supports include a base and hydrophilic polyurethane foam that directly contacts the fibers while being elastic and flexible for reshaping. Hydrophilic polyurethane foam has a density to hold over nineteen times its weight in liquids that absorb into the fibers in direct contact with the foam over time. Supports may be any shape or size, and may be rigid or flexible. Cylindrical shapes are useable to permit winding, curling, or spiraling of fibers about the support. The fibers are directly affixed to the foam for support and shaping. A clasp may be clamped or snapped over the fibers and foam support to compress the two directly together. If the support is flexible, the foam may be reshaped with the fibers, holding the shape during wearing or drying. During such wearing or drying, liquid held in the foam may be absorbed directly into the fiber, resulting in favorable chemical treatment.
HAIR CURLER
A hair curler is provided and can include a cap having a central opening and a shield arranged around the central opening. The hair curler can also include a base having an annular collar with a central opening therein and a flange extending radially from the annular collar. The flange can be configured to mate with the shield such that the base and the cap enclose the entrapment area and such that the central opening in the cap can be aligned with the central opening in the base. Related styling assemblies and methods of use are also provided.
HAIR ROLLER ASSEMBLY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a hair roller which can be separated into a pair of half-cylindrical roller pieces, pairs of half-cylindrical roller pieces, and a method of storing half-cylindrical roller pieces by nesting the half-cylindrical roller pieces. The hair roller of the invention includes a whole cylindrical body separable along a vertical axis into half-cylindrical roller pieces which include a plurality of mating devices configured to selectably couple the half-cylindrical roller pieces to form the whole cylindrical body, wherein the half-cylindrical roller pieces are capable of being nested. The pair of half-cylindrical roller pieces of the invention are identical in shape, which include a plurality of tabs and orifices, where the tabs have protuberances which protrude into a corresponding orifice when the lateral edges of the pair of roller pieces are aligned.
HAIR STRAIGHTENING/CURLING METHOD AND APPARATUS
A hair styling accessory includes an elongated hair board having a widened end and a narrowed end with elongated edges extending between the widened end and the narrowed end, a plurality of holes extend through the hair board from an upper surface to a lower surface. At least one end-clip having open and closed orientations and biased into the closed orientation. The at least one end-clip is designed to be positioned in the closed orientation over the narrowed end of the hair board and to grip a lock of hair against one of the upper and lower surfaces. At least one side-clip having open and closed orientations and biased into the closed orientation. The at least one side-clip is designed to be positioned in the closed orientation over one of the elongated edges of the hair board and to grip the lock of hair.
HAIR STYLING APPARATUS HAVING DUAL SWITCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR
In a hair styling apparatus a heating assembly is operable to apply heat to hair. First and second arms are hingedly connected for selective movement relative to each other between an opened configuration and a closed configuration of the hair styling apparatus. The heating assembly includes a hair contact heating surface disposed on at least one of the first and second arms. An actuator is operatively connected to both an operating switch and a lock, with the actuator being moveable between a first position in which, concurrently, the switch is moved to the on position and the lock is moved to the unlocked position and a second position in which, concurrently, the switch is moved to the off position and the lock is moved to the locked position.
Color conversion system and method
A method is provided for preparing a hair dye color mixture. The method includes: accessing a control system having at least a processor, a memory, and user input controls, the memory configured to store ingredients of a hair dye color mixture, receiving user input from the user input controls to change one or more ingredients of the hair dye color mixture to a new product brand; matching the color of the hair dye color mixture using one or more ingredients of the new product brand, in response to the user input; and displaying the ingredients of the hair dye color mixture in the new product brand on a display.
HEATED HAIR CURLER WITH HINGED HAIR GRIP AND APPLICATOR HANDLE
A system comprises implements, each including a body, a receptacle disposed on one end of the body and having a bore and an aperture formed through spaced apart wall portions of the receptacle, a clip pivotally attached to the elongated body, and a spring operable to bias the clip for a contact with the elongated body. An applicator handle includes a body having a hollow interior and an end thereof sized and shaped to fit the bore of the receptacle, a resilient member disposed within the hollow interior, a pair of pins upstanding on the ends of the resilient member and sized to be received within the aperture and two buttons engageable with the resilient member and mounted for a linear movement, the two buttons are manually operable to move the pins toward each other for a selective engagement or disengagement of the pins with the aperture.
Apparatus for curling hair
Apparatus for curling hair comprises first and second side portions which are secured together in a spaced apart relationship via a connector portion. The connector portion is positioned substantially centrally with respect to each side portion. The connector portion has a length of not more than 20 mm. The side portions are fabricated from a material which is both resilient and thermally conductive.
