A curling iron contains: a body, a fitting sleeve, a plug, and multiple clampers. The body includes multiple rolling ribs and two stop portions, wherein the multiple rolling ribs are arranged in a stepped shape and crisscross with one another. The body also includes an orifice and a hollow portion, wherein the hollow portion has two retaining slots configured to accommodate a heating plate. The fitting sleeve includes two locking portions corresponding to the two retaining slots of the body. A diameter of the plug is equal to that of the orifice of the body, each of the multiple clampers includes a fixing portion and a clamping portion, and the fitting sleeve is fitted into the hollow portion of the body. The plug is accommodated in the orifice of the body, and each clamper clamps the body.

A flexible hair roller includes a flexible substrate extending longitudinally between opposing ends, having an inner planar side and an outer planar side opposite the inner planar side, a plurality of loops disposed across an entire length of the outer planar side and covering all of the outer planar side of the substrate, a plurality of hooks disposed across an entire width along one of end portions of the inner planar side of the substrate, and a tab connected to the end of the substrate where the plurality of hooks are disposed and extends laterally therefrom. A roller hairbrush that is separable into two parts: a hairbrush roller and a handle. The hairbrush roller has a roller body along which a plurality of bristles is oriented. Further, an ejection mechanism is housed in the roller body and is used to disengage the handle from the roller body. An engagement shaft of the handle is positioned into a receiving volume of the hairbrush roller. A plurality of lateral extrusions of the engagement shaft is slotted into a plurality of lateral channels of the receiving volume, wherein the handle is unable to rotate within the roller body. The handle includes a gripping shaft below the engagement shaft for holding the handle. Furthermore, a locking mechanism is integrated into the gripping shaft and the engagement shaft, wherein the locking mechanism secures the handle to the hairbrush roller.

A hair drying and styling system includes a hair styling tool assembly having a handle, a split barrel having, a first-member, and a second-member, a detachable brush attachment, a power source, a control panel, and a hair dryer. The device provides a hair styling tool with detachable brush attachments which may be used for drying hair. The detachable brush attachments may be rotatable for drying with the hair dryer and once detached provides a hair curler which may be left in the hair.

Disclosed herein are devices and methods for styling hair. A hair styling device is described with a cylindrical body comprising a semi-compressible core, a smooth layer surrounding the semi-compressible core, a proximal cylindrical top end, and a distal cylindrical boom end, wherein the distal cylindrical bottom end is parallel to the proximal cylindrical top end configured on each end of the cylindrical body. The hair styling device further comprises a strap comprising a first end, and a second end, wherein the first end of the strap is fixedly attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the proximal cylindrical top end and the second end of the strap is configured to be helically wound around the cylindrical body and removably attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the distal cylindrical bottom end. Methods are described that allow use of the hair styling devices to dry hair and style hair either curled or straight.

A haircare appliance is provided for detecting a hair moisture content. The haircare appliance includes a processing element, at least one light emitting element emitting at least two wavelengths, and a sensor element, wherein the light emitting element is adapted to irradiate a portion of hair to be treated. The sensor element is adapted to receive a sensor reading from an acquisition region of the irradiated hair and generate a sensor signal dependent on the sensor reading, and includes a spectral sensor element. The processing element is adapted to determine a moisture content of at least the irradiated portion of the hair from the sensor signal.

A detachable heating curling apparatus is provided. The detachable heating curling apparatus includes a detachable cylindrical curling unit with a first closed end and a second end, the second end including a second coupling section and a heating unit. The heating unit includes a first and second end, the first end including a first coupling section for coupling with the second end of the detachable cylindrical curling unit, the second end for receiving an electrical source. The respective first and second coupling sections providing for an uncoupling of the first end of the heating unit and the second end of the detachable cylindrical curling unit.

Apparatus for curling hair comprises first and second side portions which are secured together in a spaced apart relationship via a connector portion. The connector portion is positioned substantially centrally with respect to each side portion. The connector portion has a length of not more than 20 mm. The side portions are fabricated from a material which is both resilient and thermally conductive.
