The present application relates to a method for preparing transformed yeast producing 1-octen-3-ol, and yeast prepared by the method, and is useful in the cosmetic industry and the food development industry which use a Tricholoma matsutake scent.

WHEAT WITH REDUCED LIPOXYGENASE ACTIVITY

A series of independent human-induced non-transgenic mutations found at one or more of the Lpx genes of wheat; wheat plants having these mutations in one or more of their Lpx genes; and a method of creating and finding similar and/or additional mutations of Lpx by screening pooled and/or individual wheat plants. The wheat plants disclosed herein exhibit decreased lipoxygenase activity without having the inclusion of foreign nucleic acids in their genomes. Additionally, products produced from the wheat plants disclosed herein display increased oxidative stability and increased shelf life without having the inclusion of foreign nucleic acids in their genomes.

PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF 2,4- OR 2,5-PYRIDINEDICARBOXYLIC ACID AND COPOLYMERS DERIVED THEREFROM
20200208183 · 2020-07-02 ·

The present invention relates to processes for the formation of pyridinedicarboxylic acid (PDCA), in particular, 2,4-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (2,4-PDCA) and 2,5- pyridinedicarboxylic acid (2,5-PDCA), and mono- and diester derivatives thereof, from 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, via a biocatalytic reaction using, for example, a protocatechuate dioxygenase such as protocatechuate 4,5-dioxygenase or protocatechuate 2,3-dioxygenase, and a nitrogen source. The invention also relates to copolymers that comprise the pyridinedicarboxylic acid monomers and derivatives thereof, processes for the formation of the copolymers and uses for the copolymers.

Detergent composition

A detergent composition including an oleic acid-transforming enzyme and a surfactant system. Furthermore, a method of manually washing articles including the steps of: delivering a composition including an oleic acid-transforming enzyme and a surfactant system to a volume of water to form a wash liquor and immersing the soiled articles, in the liquor.

MATRIX OF RICE HUSK SILICA FOR IMMOBILIZING ENZYME AND USES THEREOF
20200189921 · 2020-06-18 ·

The present invention relates to a preparation method of a matrix of rice husk silica for immobilizing enzyme wherein a rice husk silica is modified with APTES((3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane) and glutaraldehyde, a matrix of rice husk silica for immobilizing enzyme prepared by said method, a rice husk silica-enzyme complex wherein enzyme is immobilized onto said matrix of rice husk silica and a preparation method of valuable substances using said rice husk silica-enzyme complex. The rice husk silica having a nanoporous structure cannot only facilitate diffusion of substrate during enzyme reaction but also can be utilized as a path through which intermediates from the consecutive enzyme reactions can travel. Therefore, it can be effectively utilized in preparing valuable substances.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING OMEGA 3 AND OMEGA 6 UNSATURATED FATTY ACID OXIDES

Provided is a method for producing an unsaturated fatty acid oxide (e.g. 3 fatty acid oxide) that is new and has more beneficial features compared to conventional technologies. This method uses a lipoxygenase-containing composition (e.g. a lipoxygenase-containing composition derived from beans) as a lipoxygenase enzyme, and also uses a freezing method with organic solvent extraction. The present invention makes it possible to produce an unsaturated fatty acid oxide (e.g. 3 fatty acid oxide) efficiently and at a low cost. The present invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition containing an 3 fatty acid oxide isolated and purified by this method as an active ingredient.
