HOT STAMP TOOLING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF FORMING A PART WITH TAILORED TEMPER PROPERTIES
A hot stamp tool including an annealing die and a hot forming die. A blank is placed in the hot forming die with a first transfer arm where it is formed and quenched into a shaped part. The shaped part is then moved from the hot forming die to the annealing die with a second transfer arm. In the annealing die, the shaped part continues to be cooled. The annealing die includes a heating element that heats a portion of the shaped part to the point of annealing to form an annealed part. The annealed part includes a non-annealed portion and an annealed portion with a transition zone between the annealed portion and the non-annealed portion. The annealed portion can then be deformed.

A device and a method for cooling metal strips or sheets conveyed on a conveyor line, in particular hot-rolled strips in the outlet of a rolling train. For these purposes, the device includes at least one cooling beam extending across the width of the conveyor line, and the cooling beam features a connection point to which a supply tube for cooling liquid can be connected, and a number of discharge openings arranged along a longitudinal axis of the cooling beam, such that cooling liquid can be discharged through the discharge openings in the direction of the metal strip or sheet that is to be cooled. Associated with each of the individual discharge openings is a respectively adjusted flow area, such that the flow areas of the respective discharge openings decrease in a direction leading away from the connecting point along the longitudinal axis of the cooling beam.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING NICKEL-BASED ALLOY PRODUCT OR TITANIUM-BASED ALLOY PRODUCT
Provided is a method for producing a Ni- or Ti-based alloy product, the method capable of locally increasing the cooling rate and effectively cooling. The method includes the steps: preliminarily processing a hot working material of a Ni- or Ti-based alloy after hot working into a predetermined shape; heating and holding the material at a solution treatment temperature to obtain a material held in a heated state; and cooling the material held in a heated state to obtain a solution-treated material. The cooling step includes placing a flow path-forming member having a space for forming a flow path for a fluid on a surface of the material held in a heated state to form a fluid flow path defined by the surface of the material held in a heated state and an inner surface of the space of the flow path-forming member; and allowing a fluid to flow in the fluid flow path so that the fluid in the flow path locally cools a part of the surface of the material held in a heated state.
A method for controlling carbide network in a bearing steel wire rod by controlling cooling and controlling rolling
A method for controlling carbide network in a bearing steel wire rod by controlling cooling and rolling, comprises the following steps: rapidly rolling a bar to a wire rod and spinning it into a loose coil, controlling the rolling temperature at 780° C.-880° C.; and the spinning temperature at 750° C.-850° C.; carrying out on-line controlling cooling of continuous loose coils using EDC water bath austempering cooling process, controlling the cooling rate at 2.0° C./s-10° C./s, and controlling the final cooling temperature within 620-630° C.; after EDC water bath austempering cooling, using slow cooling under a cover, and the temperature is controlled to be 400° C.-500° C. when being removed out of the cover; after slow cooling, collecting coils, and cooling in air to the room temperature.
Cooling device and method for operating same
A cooling device for cooling a metallic item and a method for operating the cooling device. Such cooling devices having a plurality of cooling bars arranged in parallel in groups for applying a coolant to the metallic item are known in the prior art. In order to be able to set a desired distribution function of the coolant over the width of the metallic item as precisely as possible, the cooling device provides that similar application regions in at least two cooling bars within a group are each formed differently with respect to their contour and/or with respect to their surface area.
Cooling bar and cooling process with variable cooling rate for steel sheets
A cooling device with variable cooling rate for treating metal materials, in particular for cooling steel sheets in plate mills, hot strip mills or thermal treatment lines, by means of a spray nozzle cooling system. The cooling device consists of at least two cooling bars one of each two cooling bars being situated on the lower side and the other on the upper side transversely to the sheet travel direction of the sheet and centrally between two roller table rollers and includes a spray nozzle cooling system with which a plurality of full jet nozzles and a plurality of full cone nozzles are associated, the full jet nozzles being arranged symmetrically to the full cone nozzles. A method for operating the cooling device according to the disclosure.
DETERMINING A SENSITIVITY OF A TARGET VARIABLE OF A ROLLING MATERIAL FROM AN OPERATING VARIABLE OF A HOT ROLLING MILL
A control device for a section of a hot rolling mill is supplied with respective primary data for a plurality of rolling materials and respective preliminary target values for the target variables of the respective rolling material. The respective primary data describes the respective rolling material before being supplied to the section of the hot rolling mill. The respective preliminary target values of the target variables describe a desired target state of the respective rolling material after passing through the section of the hot rolling mill. At least one of the target variables is a particular target variable, whereby the control device determines a respective final target value in such a way that it changes the respective preliminary target value by a respective offset. The respective offset is determined independently of the primary data and the other particular target variables and the normal target variables for the respective rolling material.
