In order to improve the application of coolant to the metallic product, the invention provides that at least one partition wall is provided for the at least one cooling bar of the cooling device according to the invention to divide the interior of the cooling bar into at least two chambers, each of the spraying regions being assigned to a different one of the chambers. The partition wall is shaped at least approximately in accordance with the course of the temperature distribution in a predetermined width section of the metallic product before it enters the cooling device, and the partition wall is arranged in the cooling bar over this width section.
Temperature control station for partially thermally treating a metal component
Disclosed is a tempering station for the partial heat treatment of a metal component, the station including a processing plane arranged in the tempering station, at least one nozzle, aligned to the processing plane, for discharging of a fluid flow for the cooling of at least a first sub-area of the component, and at least one nozzle box, arranged above the processing plane. The at least one nozzle box forms at least one nozzle area in which the at least one nozzle is at least partially arrangeable and/or which at least partially delimits a propagation of the fluid flow, with the at least one nozzle box being at least partially formed with a ceramic material. The tempering station permits a sufficiently reliable thermal delimitation of heat treatment measures partially acting on the component and/or a sufficiently reliable thermal separation of different heat treatment procedures partially acting on the component.
Method for heat treating by induction an alloy component for generating microstructure gradients and an alloy component heat treated according to the method
A superalloy component heat treatment method using controlled induction heat treatment. The method being adapted to controllably generate a coarse grain microstructure region within the component from a fine grain microstructure metallic component. The method further being adapted to controllably form precipitates within the desired region in order to achieve a desired hardness therein. A single piece alloy component having a controlled core region and a controlled peripheral region. The controlled core region defining fine metallurgical grains and adapted to provide a desired fatigue resistance. The controlled peripheral region defining coarse metallurgical grains and adapted to provide a desired creep resistance.
CRYOGENIC WORKBENCH, CRYOGENIC LASER PEENING EXPERIMENT SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
In a cryogenic workbench, a cryogenic laser peening system and a control method. A a tapered surface gap d is adjusted, based on the electromagnetic principle, to control the gasification volume of liquid nitrogen, then the temperatures of the copious cooling workbench and the surface of a sample are precisely controlled by means of the adjustment of the heat absorption amount of liquid nitrogen gasification, the temperature adjustment range and the temperature rising/lowering rate of the cryogenic laser peening system are effectively extended, and the precision of the control of the surface temperature of the sample is increased in combination with a closed-loop control. Additionally, an intelligent control of a cryogenic laser peening process is realized by means of a computer and a PLC control unit, whereby the usage amount of liquid nitrogen in the experiment process is reduced and the processing efficiency is improved.
Process and device for cooling a metal substrate
A process for cooling a metal substrate running in a longitudinal direction, said process including ejecting at least one first cooling fluid jet on a first surface of said substrate and at least one second cooling fluid jet on a second surface of said substrate, said first and second cooling fluid jets being ejected at a cooling fluid velocity higher than or equal to 5 m/s, so as to form on said first surface and on said second surface a first laminar cooling fluid flow and a second laminar flow respectively, said first and second laminar cooling fluid flows being tangential to the substrate, said first and second laminar cooling fluid flows extending over a first predetermined length and a second predetermined length of the substrate respectively, said first and second lengths being determined so that the substrate is cooled from a first temperature to a second temperature by nucleate boiling.
METHOD OF HEAT TRANSFER AND ASSOCIATED DEVICE
A method of heat transfer wherein a flat metal product having a broad face and a temperature upper to 400° C. is put in contact with a fluidized bed of solid particles, the solid particles having a direction of circulation (D), wherein the flat metal product is put in contact with the solid particles so that its broad face is parallel to the direction (D) of circulation of the solid particles and wherein a gas is injected so that the solid particles be in a bubbling regime, the solid particles capturing the heat released by the metal product and transferring the captured heat to a transfer medium. An associated device is also provided.
