LOAD ARRANGEMENT FOR POWERING A LOAD
20190352872 · 2019-11-21 ·

A load arrangement is provided for powering a load on a surface (30) of a marine structure (50) exposed to a liquid (10). The load arrangement has a carrier (100) and a conductor arrangement (110) arranged on the surface of the marine structure and coupled to one pole of a power source (1). The other pole is coupled to the liquid. The carrier has a back surface (102) to cover part of the conductor arrangement and the surface (30) of the marine structure. A load (20) in the carrier receives supply current from the power source via a front electrode (130) arranged for coupling to the liquid, and a back electrode (120) at the back surface arranged for coupling to the conductor arrangement. The load may be an UV-C LED for emitting anti-fouling light.

An anchor is buried in the ground near a place where a utility pole is installed. A guy wire is connected to the utility pole. A guy wire rod couples the anchor and the guy wire. An electrode is buried in the ground near a place where the anchor is buried. A power supply supplies an anti-corrosion current with an underground portion of the guy wire rod and the anchor as a cathode and the electrode as an anode. The power supply includes a photovoltaic cell.

Anode assembly with reduced attenuation properties for cathodic protection systems

An anode assembly is disclosed for use in a cathodic protection system. The anode assembly includes an elongated housing, an electrical cable, an anode, and electrically conductive backfill. The housing has a leading end and a trailing end through which the electrical cable extends. The anode is located within the housing and is in the form of a plurality of electrically conductive segments which are spaced apart from each other and which are electrically connected to the electrical cable at respective electrically conductive joints. The backfill surrounds the anode and cable within the housing.

Flange tab system

A flange tab system includes a first member having a first-member-first-portion and a first-member-second-portion, a second member having a second-member-first portion and a second-member-second-portion, a third member, and a ring-like member. The flange tab system provides an electrical fitting for electrical current flow between pipelines or other structures. The flange tab system is configured to secure a wire to a pipeline for cathodic protection and various other applications.

Cathode protection method and apparatus for reinforced concrete structure and composite structure and processing method for reinforced concrete structure

A cathode protection method of embedded CFRP anode for reinforced concrete structure includes the following steps. Provide a preformed groove with a predetermined shape and size in a surface of a protection area of a reinforced concrete body, and remove dust in the preformed groove. Provide a CFRP member on the surface of the protection area of the reinforced concrete body. Coat an electrical conductive adhesive material between side surfaces of the reinforcing column of the CFRP member and the preformed groove and between the reinforcing plate and the reinforced concrete body. Connect the CFRP member with a positive electrode of an external DC power supply and the steel reinforcing element with a negative electrode of the external DC power supply.

Method and apparatus for interrupting electrical conductivity through pipelines or other tubular goods

An isolating flow line spool fitting, particularly for electrical isolation of above-ground steel flow lines or other pipes. Two opposing half segments are electrically separated from each other by non-conductive isolating materials. A first half segment includes a threaded male connection member, while a second half segment includes a mating threaded collar for threadedly connecting the second half segment to the first half segment, and thereby forming a fluid pressure seal.
