A refill for a cosmetic product dispensing receptacle, includes a base defining a housing suitable for receiving a cup containing the cosmetic product and a platform for holding the cup in position, the platform being movable in rotation with respect to the base between a closed position capable of clamping the cup and an open position allowing the cup to be removed, this platform being connected to the base by a pivot connection. The refill includes a system for positioning the cup to limit any relative movement of the cup with respect to the base, this positioning system including a bearing surface of the platform capable of coming to rest against an upper rim of the cup, this bearing surface having at least one positioning means.

An airtight cosmetic compact, wherein the airtight feature is created by interaction between a seal on the inside of the cover and the upwardly facing recess of the base. The cover locks on the base by either thread elements on both cap and base or by bayonet like cams, allowing the cover to be twisted on the base compressing the cover against the base and engaging the seal with the base recess. By compressing the seal against the base and holding it in place through the threaded engagement the air-tightness of the compact is achieved and guaranteed.

The method includes the step of supporting a formulation tray having a depression formed from up an upright wall surrounding a bottom of the tray, and a flange extending outward from the exterior of the wall between a first frame that presses on top of the flange and a second frame that supports the bottom of the flange, wherein a gap separates the bottom of the formulation tray from the top of second frame.

The shock absorbing member is disposed in a cavity of the base. The shock absorbing member is coupled to the base and is coupled to the at least one cosmetic pan such that a shock imparted on the cosmetic compact is isolated from the at least one cosmetic pan. The shock absorbing member is deformable and comprises a hollow tubular body defining a central bore extending between an upper-flange and a lower-flange of the shock absorbing member.

A palette, such as for providing one or more choices of a makeup includes a base enclosing a drawer. The drawer includes a pan within a pan compartment. The base has a drawer compartment from which the drawer can slide in and out. The pan is retained in the pan compartment by application of a force that presses on the bottom of the pan, and the top of the pan presses against a frame or lid. The pan is removable from the pan compartment when the drawer is slid out from the base to expose an opening in the pan compartment through which the pan is removed. When the drawer includes a fixed frame on top, the pan can slide out from the front or side of the drawer, and when the drawer includes a lid on top, the pan can be removed from the top of the drawer.

A cosmetic compact including a hinge, the hinge including a spine having at least two extensions and at least two protrusions extending from the at least two extensions; a base, the base including at least two receivers and at least one opening configured to receive at least one pan; and a cover, wherein the cover and the base are connected to one another via the hinge. The spine having (1) a locked position wherein the extensions are configured to wrap around the base and the at least two protrusions are configured to be removably locked into the at least two receivers thereby securing the at least one pan within the at least one opening, and (2) an unlocked position wherein the at least two protrusions are configured to be removed from the at least two receivers thereby providing access to the at least one opening.

This application relates to a cosmetic container. In one aspect, the cosmetic container includes a container including a containing portion for containing contents of cosmetic products, and a lid functioning not only as a lid for the containing portion but also as a house for an application member, which includes an application member accommodating portion where an application member is accommodated, and a blocked bottom plate. A plurality of protrusions protruding upwards are provided at the application member accommodating portion of the lid. The application member is placed to be in contact with an upper surface of the protrusions in the application member accommodating portion. A first air storage portion is formed between the application member and a bottom surface of the lid.

The absorbent material on the first end portion of the elongated rod is substantially dry and the absorbent material on the second end portion of the elongated rod is moistened with a liquid and sealed within a package. The cosmetic tool and holder therefor provides enhanced ease of use and enables users to be more effective and efficient when correcting or touching up makeup.
