Provided is a method of producing a silicon compound material, including the steps of: storing a silicon carbide preform in a reaction furnace; supplying a raw material gas containing methyltrichlorosilane to the reaction furnace to infiltrate the preform with silicon carbide; and controlling and reducing a temperature of a gas discharged from the reaction furnace at a predetermined rate to subject the gas to continuous thermal history, to thereby decrease generation of a liquid or solid by-product derived from the gas.

Iron catalyzed hydrochlorination of silicon tetrachloride to trichlorosilane
In the hydrochlorination reaction, silicon tetrachloride (STC), metallurgical silicon, and hydrogen are converted to trichlorosilane (TCS) at about 540° C. Previously, a pilot-scale reactor was used to study the yield of TCS produced by the hydrochlorination reaction. The yield observed by experimentation compared favorably with a scalable mathematical model developed to predict the rate of TCS conversion. The model predicted that 90% of the final amount of TCS produced was achieved after the reactant gas traveled a quarter of the vertical distance in the reaction section of the reactor. The pilot-scale reactor was shortened to verify the model predictions. In addition, some catalytic effects on the reaction were studied.
DETERMINATION METHOD AND TREATMENT METHOD
According to one embodiment, a determination method is provided. The determination method determines progress of a treatment of a side-product produced in a process of reacting a substance containing a halogen and silicon or reacting a substance containing silicon and a substance containing a halogen. The treatment of the side-product includes bringing the side-product into contact with a treatment fluid containing water to obtain a first solid matter. The determination method includes determining the progress of the treatment of the side-product based on a signal according to a chemical analysis of at least one of an Si-α bond (α is at least one selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, and I) and an Si—H bond, of the first solid matter.

METHODS FOR GRADED UTILIZATION OF FLUORINE AND SILICON RESOURCES IN PHOSPHATE ORES
The present disclosure discloses a method for graded utilization of fluorine and silicon resources in a phosphate ore. While the phosphate ore reacts with sulfuric acid, a fluorine-containing and silicon-containing tail gas is produced. SiO.sub.2 and H.sub.2SiF.sub.6 solution with a high concentration are obtained by concentrating and filtering a solution containing HF and H.sub.2SiF.sub.6 formed after tail gas is absorbed by water. Crude SiF.sub.4 and a solution containing HF and H.sub.2SO.sub.4 are obtained by extracting, adsorbing, and dehydrating the H.sub.2SiF.sub.6 solution. SiF.sub.4 with a 5N purity is obtained after the crude SiF.sub.4 is adsorbed and distilled, at the same time, an impurity-enriched SiF.sub.4 is returned to operations of concentration and filtration to react with the solution containing HF and H.sub.2SiF.sub.6 to generate the H.sub.2SiF.sub.6 and SiO.sub.2. High-purity HF and waste sulfuric acid are obtained after the H.sub.2SO.sub.4 solution containing HF is separated by steam stripping and distillation.
Partially hydrogenated chlorosilanes and methods for preparing same by selective hydrogenation
A method is useful for preparing partially hydrogenated chlorosilanes by selective hydrogenation with a compound of the formula R.sub.2AlH, wherein R is a branched or cyclic hydrocarbon. Partially hydrogenated chlorosilanes can be prepared with said method, in particular partially hydrogenated chlorosilanes represented by the formula Cl.sub.3SiSi(SiH.sub.3).sub.3, (Cl.sub.3Si).sub.2Si(SiH.sub.3).sub.2 or HSi(SiH.sub.3).sub.2SiCl.sub.3.
METHOD OF PREPARING PENTACHLORODISILANE PURIFIED REACTION PRODUCT COMPRISING SAME
A method of preparing pentachlorodisilane is disclosed. The method comprises partially reducing hexachlorodisilane with a metal hydride compound to give a reaction product comprising pentachlorodisilane. The method further comprises purifying the reaction product to give a purified reaction product comprising the pentachlorodisilane. The purified reaction product comprising pentachlorodisilane formed in accordance with the method is also disclosed.
