Embodiments of a lip exfoliator may include an attachment surfacesuch as an adhesive sticker, suction device, or cup mechanismfor attaching the lip exfoliator to a lip balm or other cosmetic. Thus, a consumer may use embodiments of the lip exfoliator with a lip balm or cosmetic of their choice easily while on the go.

A skin buffer apparatus consists of an abrasive pad, a handle, a neck portion, and a vibrating mechanism. The vibrating mechanism provides the vibrations used for skin buffing. The vibrations are transferred onto the skin of the user via the abrasive pad. Preferably, the abrasive pad is a sandpaper pad which is used to remove an outer layer of dead skin. The handle and the neck portion allow the user to position the abrasive pad at a preferred location. The apparatus can be used on the face or any other body part where dead skin needs to be removed. The vibrating mechanism is powered through a power source. Preferably, the vibration frequency is adjustable so that different buffing processes can be completed.

An apparatus and method for providing cosmetic treatment to skin comprise one material chemically active in a solid form preferably in a tablet form and a second material which is chemically reactive with the first material so that effervescence is produced during the reaction. The chemically active materials may be activated by a user for providing cosmetic treatment to skin. The activation releases effervescence which urges granules of the reacting materials onto the skin. The size of the granules lowers during the reaction thus providing continuously refining peeling to the skin.

A discardable cartridge having a limited quantity of a lip balm that is loaded into a closable applicator container, such as a piece of jewelry or a wearable accessory. The cartridge includes a rigid or resilient upper base having a convex or flat top surface upon which the lip balm is associated, and a volume of lip balm attached to the top surface of the base. The flat or convex top surface allows wiping the balm onto the lips single-handedly. The top surface of the cartridge can include a plurality of integrally-attached bristles, between which the lip balm is embedded, anchoring the lip balm to the cartridge, and providing the additional function of exfoliation.

A method and a hand-held device for dermaplaning is disclosed that includes a blade assembly which includes a blade, a blade holder and a safety cage. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, the safety cage limits the amount of penetration of the blade into the facial skin to enable the device to be safely used by non-professionals. The dermaplaning device includes a vibration generator that causes the blade to vibrate at a predetermined frequency. Various embodiments of the hand-held dermaplaning device are disclosed for vibrating the blade.

A method and a hand-held device for dermaplaning is disclosed that includes a blade with a safety cage forming an assembly removably mounted to a housing. The dermaplaning device is configured to limit the depth that the blade can penetrate the skin which makes the device safe for use by non-professionals. The dermaplaning device is electrically powered to cause the blade to vibrate at a predetermined frequency. Various embodiments of the hand-held dermaplaning device are disclosed for vibrating the blade. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, the blade includes a safety guard for limiting the amount of penetration of the blade into the facial skin to enable the device to be safely used by non-professionals.
