A method and a hand-held device for dermaplaning is disclosed that includes a blade assembly which includes a blade, a blade holder and a safety cage. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, the safety cage limits the amount of penetration of the blade into the facial skin to enable the device to be safely used by non-professionals. The dermaplaning device includes a vibration generator that causes the blade to vibrate at a predetermined frequency. Various embodiments of the hand-held dermaplaning device are disclosed for vibrating the blade.

A multi-movement cosmetic assembly includes a housing defining an interior; a drive system disposed within the housing; a sleeve received within the housing; and a drive shaft positioned in the sleeve. A water-dissolvable and environmentally friendly pad for exfoliating the skin is obtained by mixing baking soda, powdered Foam Glass and PVA-co-VAC. Its simple manufacturing process, performed entirely at room temperature, includes mixing the powders, adding the glue, pouring the mixture into molds and letting it dry by evaporation. A method and a system for skin exfoliation and rejuvenation uses dual-function plates mounted on the front edge of a handheld system in a multi-step process. One step uses microdermabrasion using diamond diamond-tipped wands to cleanse and exfoliate and remove dead skin. In another dual-function process, a roller equipped with micro-needles and skin care products generates collagen for firmer toned skin.
