The present disclosure is drawn to an abrasive skin care appliance, which can include a facial surface having an abrasive matrix attached thereto, wherein the abrasive matrix comprises abrasive crystals having an average particle size from 25 m to 250 m and a plurality of metal-containing particles having an average particle size from 5 nm to 2 m associated with surfaces of the abrasive crystals.

Biodegradable facial pads for exfoliation purposes are disclosed. The facial pad includes a top layer and a bottom layer made of a hydro-entangled, non-woven fibrous material. A coarse fabric material that may have undulations to provide exfoliating effect is sandwiched between the top layer and the bottom layer. The coarse fabric layer is configured to provide stiffness to the pads so as to aid and facilitate exfoliation. The top layer, bottom layer and the coarse material layer are pinched together along the edges to form an exfoliating pad of specified weight. The top layer is configured to overlay the coarse fabric layer to incorporate the undulations in the coarse fabric layer. This may form exfoliating peaks and absorbent cotton valleys that are suitable for removal of dead cells from the skin when used for exfoliating purposes.

An abrasive facial buffer system consists of a tool head, a handle, a vibrating mechanism, a power source, and a control switch. A multi-movement cosmetic assembly includes a housing defining an interior; a drive system disposed within the housing; a sleeve received within the housing; and a drive shaft positioned in the sleeve. The drive system is operably coupled to the sleeve and the drive shaft such that actuation of the drive system causes (i) the sleeve to move laterally back and forth to oscillate relative to the housing, and (ii) the drive shaft to rotate relative to the housing.

The liquid from the liquid replenishing assembly may pass into the nozzle based on the pre-defined pH value. The first control valve may be connected to an outlet of the vacuum pump and an outlet of the liquid replenishing assembly for communication with the nozzle.

The dermaplaning device may further include a blade assembly having a top side engageable with the recess of the handle and an opposing bottom side including a blade with a cutting edge. The dermaplaning device may further include a lighting arrangement provided about the first end of the handle to illuminate at least a portion of the blade assembly engaged with the recess.
