CULTIVATOR

A cultivator is provided. The cultivator can have a main frame having a front end and a back end, a hitch assembly connected to the front end of the main frame, a tilling section attached to the back end of the main frame, a pair of main ground wheels, a first wing ground wheel and a second wing ground wheel, a plurality of ground engaging tools connected to and extending below the tilling section.

Suspension compliance to reduce frame loading

A harvesting system includes a header pivotally attached to a combine. The header includes a center section to which a left wing and right wing are pivotally attached. A suspension system of the harvesting system includes first and second engageable states that enable dynamic wing behavior and reduce structural load. The first state corresponds to a harvesting configuration of the header in which the wings are allowed to pivot to allow the header to follow changes in terrain. The second state corresponds to a configuration in which the header is elevated relative to the ground. In the second state, the ability of the wings to pivot is minimized as compared to the first state, which allows the header to be maintained in a substantially flat configuration while minimizing the amount of dynamic load imparted by the header on the combine during non-harvesting transport of the header.

AGRICULTURAL TOOL BAR SYSTEM

A tool bar system is provided that is configured and arranged with weight distribution that inhibits the tool bar system from applying lifting forces to the rear hitch of the tractor that is pulling the tool bar. In one or more embodiments, the toolbar system includes a frame, lift wheels, a tool mount bar assembly having one or more forward sections and one or more rearward sections. The rearward sections are positioned rearward of lift wheels. Forward sections are positioned closer to the front of the tool bar system than the rearward sections, thereby reducing lifting forces at the front end of the tool bar system.

Agricultural header with steerable rear wheel assembly

An agricultural header includes: a header frame; a cutter carried by the header frame; a steering assembly coupled to the header frame and including an axle; and a transport assembly coupled to the header frame. The transport assembly includes: a first arm coupled to the header frame and movable between a first transport position and a first operating position; a first wheel mount pivotably coupled to the first arm; a second arm pivotably coupled to the header frame and movable between a second transport position and a second operating position; a second wheel mount pivotably coupled to the second arm; and a linkage reversibly coupling the first wheel mount to the second wheel mount and coupled to the axle such that the second arm is movable independently of the first arm when the linkage is uncoupled from at least one of the first wheel mount or the second wheel mount.

Latch mechanism for lateral transport center-pivot mower

An agricultural machine includes a trail frame, a wheel arm, a field wheel, a tongue, and a latch mechanism for releasably securing the trail frame to the tongue. The latch mechanism includes a catch mounted on the trail frame for pivoting about a fulcrum, a receiver on the tongue, the catch engageable with the receiver, a spring acting between the catch and trail frame on a first side of the fulcrum for biasing the catch into engagement with the receiver, and a rigid link acting between the wheel arm and the catch on a second side of the fulcrum. Pivoting motion of the wheel arm moving the field wheel away from the trail frame causes movement of the rigid link, and, once a pre-defined lost motion is overcome, continued movement of the rigid link causes pivoting of the catch about the fulcrum and disengagement of the catch from the receiver.

Transport wheel arrangement for a crop harvesting header

A header for a crop harvesting machine includes front and rear wheel arrangements that pivot about respective upright axis between a field orientation and a perpendicular transport orientation, while having respective suspensions arrangements movable between different suspended heights. A biasing spring provides lift assist to carry weight of the wheel arrangement during adjustment of the suspension elevation while being isolated from the suspension once set at any one elevation. The front wheel arrangement includes an anti-rotation latch that locks the front wheel in the field orientation automatically upon disconnection of a hitch arm. A second wheel of the rear wheel arrangement can be held in a raised position relative to a first wheel in a field orientation. Load bearing surfaces between the suspended rear wheels and the header frame abut one another when latching to the header frame to isolate the suspension from the header frame in the transport orientation.
