The amplifying agent may comprise a polypeptide, such as a protein. The amplifying agent is added in an amount sufficient for the efficacy of the herbicide and/or algaecide to be improved. For instance, the presence of the amplifying agent allows for the herbicide and/or algaecide to be used at lower concentrations but have the same potency.
