Locking screwdriver holder
A system and method are disclosed including a tool clip having a receptacle, and a matching receptacle sleeve to attach to an elongated hand tool, such as a screwdriver. In various embodiments, the receptacle has springs to lock and retain the sleeve and hand tool in the tool clip. In a locked state, the screwdriver is restricted from axial and radial movements. In some embodiments, the sleeve has notches or cavities to receive a spring tip or tooth for locking the tool. The springs may be of different types, made of plastic or metal, and may be a single piece or multiple pieces. The tool clip may further include belt clips, loops, or hangers of various sorts to attach the tool clip to a toolbelt worn by a user.
Magnetic nippers
A magnetic nipper is provided. The magnetic nipper has a pair of elongate arms with opposed first and second surfaces. The pair of elongate arms are hingedly connected to allow the pair of elongate arms to rotate about an axle. The first and second surfaces each contain at least one magnet have a polarity such that the magnets repel.
Belt-attached item holder
A holder for a tool of the type having a belt clip includes a rigid base having a front side, a rear side, a top edge, a bottom edge, and two side edges. At least one rigid belt loop is fixed with the rear side of the rigid base and is open therethrough between side edges thereof for receiving a belt of a person. A rigid front panel is held away from the front side of the rigid base by at least two vertical standoffs. The rigid front panel includes a cut-out portion adapted to receive the belt clip of the tool therein. In use, with the rigid base fixed with the person's belt, the belt clip of the tool is positioned within the cut-out portion of the rigid front panel and then lowered until the belt clip is retained between the rigid front panel and the rigid base.
Tool tethering system
A tool tethering device that includes a lockable shaft having a cylindrical shaped body with a protruding member located proximal a first end and extending perpendicular from the cylindrical shaped body, a rigid sleeve housing having a cylindrical shaped cavity located within and extending from an open end to a closed end of the rigid sleeve housing, a protruding member engaging slot extending from and running parallel the cylindrical shaped cavity, a ball bearing engaging groove located within the cavity, a protruding member locking groove located within the sleeve housing proximal the closed end of the housing and extending perpendicular the cavity, and a displaceable platform located within the cylindrical shaped cavity between the protruding member locking groove and the closed end of the rigid sleeve housing, the displaceable platform supported by a spring located between the platform and the closed end of the rigid sleeve housing.
Tool retaining systems, methods and apparatus
Systems, methods, and apparatus for securing tools for use, storage, and transport. One illustrative system may include a tool securing assembly with a tool retaining clip that can be detachably mounted to a base assembly. The tool retaining clip may be formed from a resilient material and have a tool insertion opening smaller than a diameter of a portion of a tool to be secured therein that leads to a larger tool retaining space. When a tool is inserted, the tool insertion opening flexes to provide positive physical feedback that the tool is secured. The retaining clip may require the tool to be rotated as it is inserted to provide additional physical feedback. The base assembly may have a front mounting portion and rear securing portion separated by a retaining recess. The tool retaining clip may also be secured on a storage rack for storage or transport.
Wheeled carrier with telescoping center handle
A wheeled carrier according to aspects of the disclosure includes a concave base coupled to a durable fabric body. A pair of wheels is connected to the base and an ergonomic telescoping handle, spaced from a central axis of the wheels, is connected to the base providing a user with a carrier having even weight distribution and storage on both sides of the telescoping handle. The fabric body and internal pocket sleeves provide a plurality of organizational structures inside the wheeled carrier for tools, spare parts, and other equipment.
Load-carrying fastener with rapid attachment and detachment and safety lock mechanisms
A load-carrying fastener with rapid attachment and detachment and safety lock mechanisms is applicable to an attachable holder for a MOLLE accessory and includes a fastener base; a pivotable locking plate pivotally connectable with the fastener base; and a lock-release key flippable to keep the fastener base and pivotable locking plate in an interlocked or released state. Two lateral sides of the fastener base are formed with elastic arms extending outward to form locking arms with locking hooks. The pivotable locking plate is formed with two locking holes allowing the locking arms to be inserted therein and the locking hooks to hook the edges thereof when being closed on the fastener base, so as to enter into a locked state, and be brought with the fastener base into an unlocked state by disengaging the locking hooks from the hole edges when the elastic arms are pressed.
Tool Attachment System
A tool attachment system is provided. The tool attachment system includes a tool attachment device and a receiver that cooperate to lock or secure, for example, a bag or pouch. When the tool attachment device is coupled to the receiver, a locking mechanism locks the tool attachment device to the receiver in a locked position. To remove the tool attachment device, a user applies a force to a button to cause the tool attachment device to disengage from the receiver.
Pocket clip for a tool
A pocket clip for a tool includes a mounting section that defines a width between a first side opposed to a second side. A friction section is flexibly connected to the mounting section, and the friction section has a distal end biased toward the tool when the mounting section is attached to the tool. An aperture is through the friction section. A first slot extends from the first side of the mounting section partially across the width of the mounting section, and at least a portion of the aperture through the friction section is aligned in line with the first slot. A first connector in the first slot of the mounting section attaches the mounting section to the tool.
