METHOD FOR JOINING TRANSPARENT SUBSTRATES, AND LAMINATED BODY
A method of bonding transparent substrates is provided, comprising: preparing a pair of transparent substrates; forming a thin film of aluminum oxide by a sputtering method, on a bonding surface of the transparent substrates; contacting the aluminum oxide thin films in the air to bond the pair of transparent substrates; and heating the bonded pair of transparent substrates.
TEXTURED GLASS-BASED ARTICLES
A glass-based article with a textured surface exhibiting low haze is provided. The glass-based articles are produced by utilizing a combination of abrasion and etching, where hydrofluoric acid is not utilized. The process for producing the glass-based articles also includes an ion exchange process.
Substrate having a burnable coating mask
A substrate having a burnable coating mask includes: a substrate having a first section and a second section; a mask coating layer over the first section of the substrate; and a functional coating layer over at least a portion of the mask coating layer and over the second section of the substrate. A method of segmenting a substrate having a layer thereover, a method of preparing a segmented substrate having a layer thereover, a segmented substrate, and a transparency are also disclosed.
Method of fabricating cover window, cover window and display device including the same
In a method of fabricating a cover window, the method includes: forming, on a glass article having a flat upper surface, a mask layer including water glass and a recess portion having a partially recessed upper surface; and etching the mask layer and the glass article to form a cover window having a partially recessed upper surface.
A SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF MATT EFFECT OR MATT GLASS
A system and method of production of matt effect or matt glass that eliminates the double-sided printing process in the production process of glasses used in products such as ovens, refrigerators, bottle cabinets, combi boilers, built-in appliances, fume hoods, stove glass, etc., prevents fingerprints on glass and increases the scratch resistance.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SURFACE STRUCTURING
Systems and methods for the formation of single-analyte arrays are described. Array sites are formed via the patterning of surface-linked organic layers by electromagnetic radiation. Each array site may be modified after patterning to produce a chemistry at the array site that facilitates the controlled deposition of a single analyte at the array site.
ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION PERMEABLE GLAZING
A glazing includes at least one transparent substrate comprising a first major surface and an opposing second major surface, wherein said first major surface is coated with an electrically conductive layer and the electrically conductive layer is absent in one or more regions of the first major surface. At least a portion of the one or more regions of the first major surface, and/or corresponding regions of the opposing second major surface, bears a low-emissivity material, and the one or more regions permit the passage of electromagnetic radiation through the glazing.
Methods and apparatus for manufacturing a glass-based article
A glass-based article includes a first major surface and a first compressive stress region extending to a first depth of compression from the first major surface. The glass-based article includes a second major surface including a first surface portion and one or more edge surface portions recessed from the first surface portion. The glass-based article includes a second compressive stress region extending to a second depth of compression from the first surface portion. Additionally, methods of manufacturing a glass-based article are disclosed.
Glass plate
The present invention relates to a glass plate which is provided with a first main surface, and a second main surface which faces the first main surface. An antiglare portion and a non-antiglare portion are provided to the first main surface. The average lengths (RSm) of elements of roughness curves of the antiglare portion and the non-antiglare portion are respectively 1 μm or higher. The difference between the RSm of the antiglare portion and the RSm of the non-antiglare portion is 100 μm or lower.
