Agitator for a surface treatment apparatus and a surface treatment apparatus having the same
An agitator for a vacuum cleaner includes an agitator body and a resiliently deformable flap. The resiliently deformable flap includes a front face, a rear face, and one or more protrusions extending outwardly from the front face. An agitator for a vacuum cleaner includes an agitator body and a bristle strip and/or a plurality of tufts arranged in one or more rows along the agitator body. The bristle strip and/or a plurality of tufts includes a first bristle group including a plurality of nylon bristles and at least a second bristle group including a plurality of para-aramid bristles.
AGITATOR WITH HAIR REMOVAL
A rotatable agitator is used in a surface clearing head of a surface cleaning apparatus. The agitator is coupled to the cleaning head at least partially within an agitator chamber and is rotated about a pivot axis. The agitator includes an elongated agitator body and a hair migration portion. The hair migration portion includes a continuous row of bristles and a sidewall. The continuous row of bristles and sidewall are at least partially revolved around and extend along at least a portion of the pivot axis from one of a collection area or a first end region of the agitator and either another collection area or a second end region of the agitator. The sidewall extends substantially parallel to the continuous row of bristles within the hair migration portion. The continuous row of bristles and sidewall are configured to reduce hair from becoming entangled in the bristles and to migrate hair towards the collection area or the first end region of the agitator.
METHOD FOR MAKING CYLINDRICAL ROTARY TIRE BRUSH ELEMENT WITH AN INTEGRATED WEAR INDICATOR
A method for making a cylindrical rotary tire brush element with an integrated wear indicator is disclosed. The cylindrical rotary tire brush element with integrated wear indicator is intended as a drop-in replacement to the prior art cylindrical rotary tire brush element of a prior art rotary tire brush assembly. The invention is made from at least two homogeneous pluralities of bristles, with each homogeneous plurality of bristles having the same purpose, material, color, and specified length. At least one plurality is a cleaning bristle of a first color and first specified length. At least one plurality is an indicator bristle of a second color and a third specified length, where the second color is a highly noticeable color such as yellow, red, orange, green, or white. The third specified length is equal to the minimum acceptable actual length of the cleaning bristles.
Self-actuated cleaning head for an autonomous vacuum
An autonomous cleaning robot (e.g., an autonomous vacuum) may clean an environment using a cleaning head that is self-actuated. The cleaning head includes an actuator assembly comprising an actuator configured to control rotation and vertical movement of a cleaning roller, a controller, and a cleaning roller having an elongated cylindrical length connected to the actuator assembly. The cleaning head also includes a computer processor connected to the actuator assembly and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium that causes the computer processor to map the environment based on sensor data captured by the autonomous vacuum. The computer processor may determine an optimal height for the cleaning head based on the map and instruct the actuator assembly to adjust the height of the cleaning head.
Automatic hand scrubbing device
A hand scrubbing device designed for automated and efficient cleaning of hands. The present invention features a housing with a sloped bottom wall for fluid drainage, supporting a chamber that houses three brushes: a lower brush, an upper brush, and a center brush. The lower and upper brushes rotate in opposite directions to scrub the hand, while the center brush focuses on cleaning the fingertips. A motor powers the brushes, and a water source is fluidly connected to a spray nozzle. A micro switch is engaged when a hand is inserted between the upper and lower brushes, activating both the motor and the spray nozzle. The device offers an efficient, accessible solution for thorough hand cleaning and can be adapted for use in various industries where improved hygiene is essential.
Vacuum cleaner with hair collection element
A vacuum cleaner comprises a cleaning head having a suction nozzle adapted to be moved along a surface to be cleaned, and a hair collection assembly provided on the cleaning head and having a hair collection element adapted to collect hair from the surface to be cleaned as the cleaning head moves along the surface to be cleaned.
Cleaning nozzle for a vacuum cleaner
A vacuum cleaner nozzle having a rotatable member arranged around a longitudinal axis for picking up particles from a surface to be cleaned, and a cleaning arrangement for removing articles entangled on the rotatable member. The nozzle includes a nozzle cover that at least partly is made of transparent material such that the rotatable member may be visible through the nozzle cover.
Cleaning nozzle for a vacuum cleaner
A vacuum cleaner nozzle having a rotatable member arranged around a longitudinal axis for picking up particles from a surface to be cleaned, and a cleaning arrangement for removing articles entangled on the rotatable member. The cleaning arrangement has at least one support surface provided on at least one radially projecting member of the rotatable member, and at least one cleaning member movable between a resting position in which the cleaning member is arranged at a distance from the support surface and at least one cleaning position in the vicinity of the rotatable member. In the cleaning position, the cleaning member co-operates with at least one segment of the support surface to remove any entangled articles from the rotatable member as the rotatable member rotates. The at least one support surface comprises a number of segments arranged at an individual respective radius in relation to the longitudinal axis.
Actuator mechanism for a brushroll cleaner
A vacuum cleaner head having a housing, supports extending downward from the housing to a support point, a suction opening, an agitator chamber above and in fluid communication with the suction opening, an agitator with a spindle rotatably mounted to the housing and one or more agitating devices projecting from the spindle, a cleaning member movably mounted to the housing to move to a position where it engages the agitator to remove debris from the agitator during rotation of the agitator, and a pedal connected to the housing and movable to a position to place the cleaning member in the cleaning position. The pedal has an activation surface configured to receive an activation force from an operator, and the activation surface is configured such that application of the activation force on the pedal generates a moment force to bias the agitator away from the downward direction.
VACUUM CLEANER WITH HAIR COLLECTION ELEMENT
A vacuum cleaner comprises a base having a suction nozzle adapted to be moved along a surface to be cleaned, and a hair collection assembly carried by the base and having a hair collection element adapted to collect hair from the surface to be cleaned as the base moves along the surface to be cleaned.
