A gypsum-based embedding material composition for casting, the composition being a gypsum-based powdery embedding material composition for casting to be used for a rapid-heating type embedding material, the gypsum-based powdery embedding material composition being such that a set product is put into a high-temperature furnace, the set product obtained by adding a malaxation liquid into the composition to perform malaxation and then setting a resultant mixture, wherein the gypsum-based embedding material composition for casting contains as main components calcined gypsum, quartz, and cristobalite, and contains at least one co-pulverized material selected from a co-pulverized material of calcined gypsum and quartz, a co-pulverized material of calcined gypsum and cristobalite, or a co-pulverized material of calcined gypsum, quartz, and cristobalite, and a powdery moisture-retaining component or a liquid moisture-retaining component having a low water content, the composition having an average particle diameter of 30 m or less, and a method for producing the same.

A pervious concrete composition comprising a superabsorbent polymer in a proportion of 0.03 0.07 wt. % cement, preferably about 0.045 wt. % of cement, thereby enabling a water:cement ratio of 0.35 0.50. The superabsorbent polymer can be a cross-linked sodium polyacrylate-acrylamide/acrylic acid copolymer, and is introduced in powdered form to a concrete mix, wherein it is hydrated during the mixing process. The pervious concrete compositions herein can therefore be made with a desirable water:cement ratio and without the need for water-reducers or viscosity modifying additives. The invention further comprises methods of in stalling the pervious concrete compositions.

Provided is a resin composition including a resin containing a polymer, a hygroscopic particle, and an organic solvent-soluble dispersant. Preferably the ratio of the dispersant relative to 100 parts by weight of the hygroscopic particle is 0.1 part by weight or more and 1000 parts by weight or less, and the absolute value of the difference in refractive index between the resin and the hygroscopic particle is 0.05 or less. Also provided are a resin film formed by molding the resin composition into a film shape, and an organic electroluminescent device including the resin film.

Building materials and components and methods of making the same

Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to methods and materials for fabricating building materials and other components from coal. More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to materials and other components, such as char clay plaster, char brick, and foam glass fabricated from coal, and to methods of forming such materials. In an embodiment is provided a building material fabrication method. The method includes mixing an organic solvent with coal, under solvent extraction conditions, to form a coal extraction residue, and heating the coal extraction residue under pyrolysis conditions to form a pyrolysis char, the pyrolysis conditions comprising a temperature greater than about 500 C. The method further includes mixing the pyrolysis char with water and with one or more of clay, cement, or sand to create a mixture, and molding and curing the mixture to form a building material. Pyrolysis char-containing materials are also disclosed.
