CERAMIC HONEYCOMB BODIES AND MANUFACTURE
Batch mixtures for forming ceramic honeycomb bodies and methods of manufacturing honeycomb bodies from such batch mixtures are provided. The batch mixtures comprise.
Process for 3D printing
The present invention relates to a suspension comprising 50-95% by weight of the total suspension (w/w) of at least one metallic material and/or ceramic material and/or polymeric material and/or solid carbon containing material; and at least 5% by weight of the total suspension of one or more fatty acids or derivatives thereof. In addition, the invention relates to uses of such suspension in 3D printing processes.
GREEN CERAMIC MIXTURES COMPRISING A STABILIZED EMULSION AND METHODS FOR FORMING A CERAMIC BODY
Green ceramic mixtures include at least one inorganic component, at least one organic binder, and a stable emulsion including at least one lubricant, at least one aqueous solvent, and at least one emulsifier. Methods for forming ceramic bodies include forming a green ceramic mixture including a stable emulsion and extruding the green ceramic mixture. The methods and green ceramic mixtures can be used to produce green and fired ceramic bodies.
High strength stone plastic floor and manufacturing method thereof
The invention provides a high strength stone plastic floor and manufacturing method thereof. The stone plastic floor comprises a PVC substrate and a surface layer on a surface of the PVC substrate. Compositions of PVC substrate comprise: PVC powder from 20 to 35 weight percent, calcium carbonate from 60 to 70 weight percent, stabilizer from 1 to 3 weight percent, flexibilizer from 1 to 3 weight percent, lubricants from 0.4 to 1 weight percent, and colorant from 0.4 to 1 weight percent. The high strength stone plastic floor does not contain plasticizer so environmental risks are completely avoided. The contractility is good. The high strength stone plastic floor is resistant to high temperature and direct sunlight. Compared with conventional stone plastic floor, lifespan of the present invention is prolonged. The PVC substrate of the floor can be combined with different layers and can integrate different advantages of other floors.
Forming a ceramic product
A method of forming a ceramic product, the method comprising producing a ceramic forming mixture in the form of a slurry, causing the slurry to form, extruding the formed slurry to produce a plurality of lengths of extruding material each with a diameter of less than 10 mm, firing the extruded material so as to partially sinter the extruded material, forming the partially sintered extruded material into a required shape for a product, and subsequently firing the shaped partially sintered extruded material to form the ceramic product.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING DURABLE, DIMENSIONALLY STABLE, EXTRUDED SHEET GOODS HAVING A DESIRED SPECIFIC GRAVITY
The present invention provides a system, method, and apparatus for producing a dimensionally stable extruded board product for use in surface coverings. The board product may be a basalt casting powder-based product for use as a substrate for wall or other surface coverings or may be used as a core layer in a modular floor covering unit. The modular floor covering unit comprises multiple layers. The layers are a thin cut stone veneer layer, a core layer with a density similar to that of the thin cut stone veneer layer, and an optional magnetically receptive underlayment layer. Other layers or combinations of layers may also be used.
CEMENT-BASED TILE
A cement-based tile formed from a mixture comprising: a cement in the range of about 0.1 to 88% by wet weight percent; a secondary material in the range of about 0.1 to 50% by wet weight percent, the secondary material comprising limestone, sand, silica sand, gypsum, silica fume, fumed silica, Plaster of Paris, calcium carbonate, fly ash, slag, rock, or a combination thereof; a reinforcement fiber in the range of about 0.5 to 20% by wet weight percent, the reinforcement fiber comprising cellulose fiber, glass fiber, plastic fiber, polypropylene fiber, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber, homopolymer acrylic fiber, alkali-resistant fiber, or a combination thereof; a rheology modifying agent in the range of about 0.5 to 10% by wet weight percent; a water in the range of 10 to 60% of a total wet material weight; and wherein the mixture is extruded or molded to form the cement-based tile.
Hybrid polymer coating for petrous or ceramic substrates, petrous or ceramic substrate, and obtaining method
A coating having a thickness between 0.1 and 2 mm is obtained from a mixture with the following composition: 10-25% by weight of micronized powder; 40-60% by weight of inorganic gravels of petrographic origin of sizes comprised between 0.063-2 mm; 10-40% by weight of a polymerisable base resin selected from polyurethane, polyester, epoxy or acrylic, with additives, and optionally pigments. The proportion of the mentioned gravel and micronized powder of the coating being up to 90% in an inner most area of interphase between coating and surface of the petrous substrate, covering one third of the thickness of the coating. The method comprises depositing the mentioned mixture on the substrate and vibrating the assembly, and subsequently proceeding to a step of curing and subsequent mechanical finishing of the surface.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ARTICLES IN THE FORM OF A SLAB OR BLOCK WITH A HARDENING BINDER, AND ARTICLES THUS OBTAINED
In a method for manufacturing articles in the form of a slab or block, the articles are obtained from an initial mix comprising aggregates and a binder. Synthetic aggregates and fillers have a hardness greater than or equal to 5 Mohs, and contain silicon dioxide substantially only in amorphous form, the silicon dioxide in crystalline form being present in quantities of less than 1% by weight.
