A wash apparatus for a vehicle wash installation is provided, which includes a shaft drivable in rotation about a rotation axis and wash elements operatively connected thereto. In order to be able to adapt to the contour of a vehicle, the wash apparatus can be divided axially in two or more wash apparatus segments and that the at least one wash apparatus segment includes a wash element holding body having wash elements held thereto, said wash element holding body defining a wash apparatus segment axis which is different from the rotation axis, and a gear device which couples the shaft to the wash element holding body in order to rotate same about the wash apparatus segment axis, wherein the wash element holding body is configured for pivotal movement relative to the shaft via the gear device. Furthermore, a vehicle wash installation including a wash apparatus is provided.

Systems and methods for recommending repair facilities to a user based on repair validation/coaching data are disclosed. In one implementation, a repair facility recommendation system receives repair information from a user regarding damage to an automobile, the repair information received via a graphical user interface rendered on a webpage. The repair facility recommendation system identifies a repair facility verified to repair the damage to the automobile based on the repair information and verification information from a verification module, the verification information comprising evaluation information based on evaluation of technicians performing repairs of automobiles at repair facilities. The repair facility recommendation system then provides information regarding the identified repair facility to the user via the graphical user interface.

A snow and ice remover assembly for vehicle roofs having two vertical supports separated by a distance sufficient to move a vehicle between the vertical supports. A crossbar extends between and movable along the two vertical supports. A base structure is attached to the vertical supports and has wheels that engage a support surface upon which the snow and ice remover stands. A wheel movement prevention mechanism is also provided.

A gantry style car wash assembly is disclosed. The car wash assembly has two opposing support pillars, a transverse gantry member, first and second opposed wall segments, and a brush mounted about a shaft. The transverse gantry member extends between the two opposing support pillars, and is moveable up and down relative to said two opposing support pillars. Each of the first and second opposed walls defines a portion of two opposing channels. The first and second removable wall segments are removably mountable above the first and second wall segments. Each wall segment includes a vertical extension channel that extends a one of the two opposing channels substantially to said transverse gantry member. The brush extends between said first and second pillars, and that is mounted within said two opposing channels for upward and downward movement of said brush.

Coupling attachment for rotating brushes. A coupling attachment for rotating brushes is described, which comprises a circular section piece configured by semi-circular enantiomeric pieces coupled together with male-female connection system that comprise hooks in their outer perimeter as temporary fixing means suitable for all kinds of brush bristles: bristles in the shape of filaments, bands, segments or fringes.

A brush mitt which is removably attachable to existing car wash brushes is provided. The brush mitt generally comprises an inner flexible brush liner for enveloping the brush head and bristles and an outer brush cover for providing an exterior cleaning surface formed in the shape of the wash brush.

A multipurpose cleaning device is disclosed which is designed to achieve a high degree of surface coverage in any direction with each brush sweep so that cleaning surfaces, such as vehicles, may be performed fast and easy. The shape of the brush head provides maximum area coverage on each sweep and minimizes the tendency of the brush head from tipping during a sweep when connected to a main handle and a pivoting head feature minimizes the need of bending. Embodiments includes versions optimized for both washing that including channels for the introduction of water and liquid soap as well as to received drying members.

A method for making a cylindrical rotary tire brush element with an integrated wear indicator is disclosed. The cylindrical rotary tire brush element with integrated wear indicator is intended as a drop-in replacement to the prior art cylindrical rotary tire brush element of a prior art rotary tire brush assembly. The invention is made from at least two homogeneous pluralities of bristles, with each homogeneous plurality of bristles having the same purpose, material, color, and specified length. At least one plurality is a cleaning bristle of a first color and first specified length. At least one plurality is an indicator bristle of a second color and a third specified length, where the second color is a highly noticeable color such as yellow, red, orange, green, or white. The third specified length is equal to the minimum acceptable actual length of the cleaning bristles.

A motorized cleaning brush device is provided. The device is comprised of a body that may be telescoping to allow the head of the device to clean hard-to-reach surfaces, such as the windshields of commercial vehicles. The head is further comprised of an at least one bristles that may be spun via a motor to thoroughly clean any surface. The bristles may act with a cleaning solution expelled from the head of the device via an at least one nozzle to clean any surface known in the art.

A brush useful for washing external surfaces, such as of a vehicle. The brush comprises a plurality of bristles connected to a hub. Each bristle has an elongated shaft having a number of cleaning structures extending outwardly from the shaft, providing multiple faces and edges arranged in a circumferential manner around the shaft, and producing multiple washing actions by the bristles as they are moved adjacent the surface. The hub and bristles may be integrally molded in a first condition having a planar form, and then folded relative to the hub to position the bristles extending from the hub in a cleaning direction from the hub. The hubs are secured to mounting structures by reception of the hubs in apertures in the mounting structures. In an embodiment, the mounting surfaces comprise flexible stanchions which are moved relative to an external surface to provide high resolution washing of a vehicle surface.
