The present disclosure relates generally to an apparatus for cleaning or otherwise treating a floor or ground surface. Devices provided herein include various features to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of cleaning operations. Such devices includes, but are not limited to, bearing protector devices, cord and cable management devices, and ergonomic features useful with ride-on floor treating machines.

Roadway sweeper with multiple sweeping modes

A roadway or pavement sweeper with multiple sweeping modes for the removal of debris from a swept surface may, in some embodiments, include a sweeper vehicle having a pair of side-brooms independently movable between a retracted and extended position for sweeping debris into an area therebetween and at least one material-transfer broom to sweep a portion of the debris accumulated between the side-brooms as the vehicle moves in its direction of travel. A fan-driven suction-inlet may be provided at or adjacent each side of the vehicle. The at least one material-transfer broom may rotate in a first or other direction to transfer debris for entrainment into a selected suction-inlet for transfer to a debris hopper. Other embodiments are also described.

Described herein are snow removal machines having at least one auxiliary snow moving member. According to some embodiments, the snow removal machines comprise: an auger assembly for directing snow rearwards to be received by a discharge chute, the auger assembly having auger blade(s) coupled to an auger axle for rotation therewith about a first axis defined by the auger axle; an auxiliary snow moving assembly for directing snow rearwards to be received by the discharge chute, the auxiliary snow moving assembly having snow moving member(s) coupled to an auxiliary axle for rotation therewith about a second axis defined by the auxiliary axle, wherein the auxiliary axle is lower and rearwards of the auger axle towards the discharge chute; and an auxiliary drive assembly configured to rotationally couple the auxiliary axle to the auger axle such that rotation of the auxiliary axle is driven by rotation of the auger axle.

I-shaped radial profiles are equispaced about the periphery of the base plate, are welded to apices thereof, and have respective axes radially directed toward a center of the base plate. The central base plate has contour edge plates 4 fixed to a planar center portion via two of the I-shaped radial profiles and inclined at an angle relative to the planar center portion. The demountable segmental plates are each slidable to mount between two I-shaped profiles and are each bolted to a respective one of the contour edge plates.

The invention concerns a dish brush (1, 11) for conventional sweeping machines for cleaning, brushing or sweeping paved surfaces, wherein special constructed sweeping elements (4) and steel cable plugs (5) both waste and weeds remove from different types of paved surfaces. The mentioned sweeping elements (4) are fastened with welds (8,9) from the top side of the raised contour edge (2) through slit openings (6,7) and the steel cable plugs (5) are fastened with a weld (10) from the bottom side of said contour edge (2). The advantage is a well applicable sweeping and weeds removing dish brush (1,11) and which can be manufactured in a very economical way.
