Controlled-release type fertilizer with decreased floating property comprising tri-block copolymer and method for preparing the same
The present invention relates to a controlled-release type fertilizer with outstandingly decreased floating property, comprising a granular fertilize core; a coating layer (shell) formed on the surface of the granular fertilizer core, and comprising olefin-based resin; and additives attached on the coating layer, and comprising ethylene oxide-propylene oxide-ethylene oxide(EO-PO-EO) or propylene oxide-ethylene oxide-propylene oxide(PO-EO-PO) tri-block copolymer.
Microfibrillated cellulose as rheology modifier in high ionic strength agricultural formulations
Described herein, inter alia, is a concentrate including a high ionic strength liquid and a microfibrillated cellulose, and methods of making the same.
SILICON-BASED AGRICULTURAL COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to a liquid fertilizer composition and a preparation method thereof, comprising potassium silicate, a pH regulator, an emulsifier and a solvent, useful in the prevention and control of plant diseases caused by different pathogens.
Fertilizer with polyamine additive for use in irrigation environments
The present development is a composition for a commercial fertilizer product that provides for nitrogen, phosphate and/or potassium availability to the plant even in a hostile growing environment with hard water sources. The fertilizer of the present invention includes a polyamine additive, water, and soluble nitrogen, potassium, and/or phosphate, that are essentially unaffected by hard water thereby retaining their availability to the target plants.
ACIDIFIED FERTILIZER GRANULES
Methods for producing solid acidic fertilizer granules, solid acidic fertilizer granules, and methods for their use in fertigation, are disclosed. The method can include providing a plant nutrient containing nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and optionally potassium (K), in a container; feeding an acid solution containing an inorganic acid into the container at a feeding rate comprising an average feed rate of 0.2 to 0.8 metric ton of the inorganic acid (MTacid) per hour per metric ton of the plant nutrient (MTnutrient) (MT acid.h−1.MT nutrient−1) and contacting the inorganic acid and the plant nutrient to obtain acidified granules with average moisture content of 0.5 wt. % to 1.0 wt. %; and drying the acidified granules to obtained dried acidic granules.
Biosolid storage and dispersal
A particle is provided that includes 5 wt % to 90 wt % of agricultural biomass, combustion residues, biosolids, or a combination thereof. A binder intermixed with the agricultural biomass, combustion residues, biosolids, or a combination thereof retains the mixture in the form of a particle. The resultant particle creates a use for existing waste streams while also improving soil quality. A process of stabilizing agricultural biomass, combustion residues, biosolids, or a combination thereof particles is also provided that includes combining agricultural biomass, combustion residues, biosolids, or a combination thereof with mineral and/or synthetic chemical fragments having a bulk density of greater than about 40 pounds per cubic foot and a sizing of about 100% passing through a 30 mesh screen and about 50% or more passing through a 200 mesh screen. By adding binder, a particle is formed that is deodorized and/or stabilized. Through the choice of binder, the particle can be rendered dispersible to rapidly disintegrate into soil.
Graphene for fertilizer applications
A new slow-release fertilizer is described that is formed by applying graphene oxide (GO) as a carrier for micronutrients such as copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn), in which the micronutrients are efficiently bonded with the functional groups at the surface and sides of the GO sheets due to their affinity to the unpaired oxygen atoms in the GO. The prepared Cu-graphene oxide (Cu-GO) and Zn-graphene oxide (Zn-GO) fertilizers showed a biphasic dissolution behaviour compared to commercial zinc sulphate (ZnSO4) and copper sulphate (CuSO4) fertilizer granules, displaying both fast- and slow-release micronutrient release.
MULTILAYER WATER DISPERSIBLE FILM HAVING IMPROVED GERMINATION OF SEEDS AND SOIL FERTILITY
This invention relates to water-soluble/dispersible film system with embedded/entrapped water dispersible materials. Said invention discloses water dispersible film system with crop and vegetables seed strip with embedded/entrapped therein such as to provide precise and desired release of actives ingredients there from and its method of manufacturing for diverse applications, in which a variety of substances such as Fertilizers, Micronutrients, Organic fertilizer, Plant growth hormones, Bio-pesticides, Bioinsecticides, Bio fungicide, Organic Soil Conditioners, Plant growth promoter, Neem pesticides, Humicacid, Weed control (herbicide, preemergence herbicide) including treatments for the removal of dormancy. The invention further discloses novel online and offline process for the manufacture of such multi layered water dispersible film with or without liners and of desired shapes to selectively entrap interacting/non-interacting materials and their combinations.
NOVEL TECHNOLOGY TO COAT FERTILIZER AND IMPROVE FERTILIZER EFFICIENCY AND THEIR ASSOCIATED METHODS
In embodiments, the present invention relates to liquid formulations containing hydrophobic, biodegradable polymers disperse within a Non-aqueous Organic Solvent Delivery System (NOSDS) that is designed to coat fertilizer granules with a hydrophobic film utilizing simple application equipment such as mixers, blenders and tumblers. This film can impede the dissolution of fertilizer components by water improving fertilizer efficiency. The NOSDS can be aprotic solvents, protic solvents and mixtures of prone and aprotic solvents which are environmentally friendly, have flashpoints above 145° F. and we inherently rated safe for contact with humans and animals. The hydrophobic polymers an the reaction product of aldehyde(s) and nitrogen containing compounds.
